There's pretty clearly enough boarders going to this to make it worthy of a thread.
I'll be getting in Wednesday during the day, and I guess spending some time around Seattle that day if anyone else is there and wants to hang
Still trying to figure out what I want to do with camping. I considered taking a bus and just going tent only because itd be a lot cheaper, but renting a car gives me that to have Wednesday and Monday and I have something to lock stuff in, plus itll be much easier to pick up alcohol and camping supplies. Hmmm

im very afraid of conflicts on friday.
i only have a vague understanding of how scheduling works at this festival, but a main stage of vince->tyler->david byrne->bon iver would be crazy.

When i was trying to figure out how this dang festival worked last night it was very hard to figure out last years schedule but i immediately found the 2015 one and it was released at the end of March so hopefully somewhat soon. Maybe they are waiting on ticket sales

the trouble i had trying to figure out a schedule is that for a few years it was 4 days, so that throws off how the days are scheduled. and last year was apparently different than usual since they had more djs and had headliners start earlier than in the past to let dj's go later at night. it seemed like 2014 had a similar lineup and possible schedule deal: docs.google.com/file/d/0Bywi-Gvwh02jNDV4MWZwMzVIVXc/editthe national did an hour forty then so that'd be cool, or if they got even longer.

I don't think there's any noise ordinances so they can play however late. I remember the Cure playing forever and they eventually cut them off.
Guys all my Sasquatch info is ten years old don't listen to me

I officially do have a 4th ticket if anyone wants to get in on our package, LoT are you in? Or is there anyone else who still needs one?

yeah but not ga. we were gonna do premiere, but thanks to the 4 pack discount, we upped to gold camping which is right outside the festival entrance so we can go back for drinks and such and also have free showers and real bathrooms. it was only like $25 more per person to do it too.

We may have to figure out meeting up beforehand if so for me to get the ticket. Unless it ships early enough to mail it forward to me

I'm not sure, but I'll find out. Hopefully we can just transfer electronically? If not it seems like I'll be flying into Seattle so maybe we can meet up there.

has anyone ever tried doing this thing completely solo? anyone know how camping works for that? I was half considering taking a bus (found this- www.bus.com/events/sasquatch?tripType=roundtrip) and I asked the fest about solo camping without a car and they mentioned they have walk in tickets at the gate for that. My plan is to rent a locker from them to store my backpack and leave anything of note in there so nothing gets stolen, I'd just be leaving a cheap tent and blanket and pillow at the campsite and maybe a cheap (probably styrofoam) cooler with beer. But I also plan to bring nothing but clothes and my stuff I carry on me all the time anyway, and just get one of those travel kit things you can get for cheap at walmart with all the essential toiletries. I was also considering renting a car even though it'd be a bit more expensive, but it'd be nice to have the peace of mind to be able to lock things in the car, and I'd be able to take more stuff with me, I'd probably get more camping related stuff and be more comfortable decisions financially this was already dumb so keeping that down is smart but also I want to have best time this is probably my last big vacation of the year everything else will be smaller trips

I will say that it's the high desert and it can get really cold at night. I'd bring a proper sleeping bag and lots of layers. The rest of the plan seems like it will work? Definitely want somewhere to lock up your stuff but it sounds like you've got that covered.
Ice and food and booze are outrageously expensive at the campground and in the fest so if you want to do this on the cheap, pack in as much as you can. There are grocery stores in Ellensburg that are normal priced (better than buying everything in Seattle if you can swing it.)

I may drive up with my Portland friends now. Idk. I love that drive through the Cascades and have been thinking about it a lot but this would really be easier.

What are bands I would like on Saturday? It is by far my least stacked day but it might just be nice to chill

White Reaper, Algiers, Sango, Curtis Harding, Tyler Childers, JLin
I would assume you would especially like Harding and Childers

It is by far my least stacked day but it might just be nice to chill second tyler childers, curtis harding, and algiers. i'd say pedro the lion maybe too. i can't remember if you like, dont like, or are indifferent to grizzly bear, but their new album was good if you wanna check it out and havent.
