I saw a dude throw a dude at another dude and all three of them somehow landed on the pavement at Petrillo. i think i'm actually almost sad i didn't go last year. almost. That day was actually really cool. The Frights had similar energy and were before Pup, and then Cloud Nothings -> Kaleo -> like half of Phantogram -> RtJ -> Killers was really good for me, though I know most people's thoughts on The Killers. Not a lot of dude throwing at most of those other shows unfortunately. What's the dude throwing policy at the gorge?

What are bands I would like on Saturday? It is by far my least stacked day but it might just be nice to chill second tyler childers, curtis harding, and algiers. i'd say pedro the lion maybe too. i can't remember if you like, dont like, or are indifferent to grizzly bear, but their new album was good if you wanna check it out and havent. Hey confirmed this new Grizzly Bear record is v pleasant

I am thinking:
Rosenstock > Baker > Margo > Wolf Parade I guess? > Vince > Tash or Pond > Byrne > Thundercat or Whitney > BonnyBear > Tyler
Childers > Harding > Lizzo turn up > pen > Grizzly Bear > Jlin or Sango? > gummies > Rostam? > TVOTR > Lil' Biscuits > flower > EitS > laying on the hill and looking at the stars
20k > Ryan Adams' child bride > Lahey? > Sandy Alex > schmalling between tUnE-yArdS, Noname, Japanese Brekkie, Neko > Perfume Genius > $15 chicken fingers while watching Ray Lamontagne > heavy pen usage > Slowdive > deep REM sleep > .paak

Lizzo>Algiers (partial)>Japandroids>Grizzly Bear>Spoon>TV on the Radio>Modest Mouse>EitS
Soccer Mommy>Pheobe Bridgers>Alex G>Tune-Yards>Japanese Breakfast>Perfume Genius or Big Thief (game time decision)>Slowdive>The National>Anderson.Paak

I mean we'll be around eating gummies and starring into the sky so you won't be completely alone.

first act of the day is maybe a tall order, but id encourage anyone to check out ccfx on friday. their ep is really nice, and while i haven't seen them live, i have seen the punk band the lead singer is in (vexx) and she was god damn amazing live. ccfx.bandcamp.com/

Ha! Does this mean I’m invited to the wedding as well? But I did like the band. And they do remind me of The Cure.

You should come, for real! Busy weekend - OIB beer fest, running Soldier Fiekd 10 mile, nephew’s high school graduation, (maybe) bike the drive and Cubs game. Plus, the thought of camping after all these years kinda makes me itch.

That's a bummer, for sure. But it's really not surprising to me. The majority of people who go to Sasquatch live close enough to either Portland or Seattle, and almost every one of the big acts on the lineup has played in those cities within the last 6 months or so. Tyler has to be considered one of the big "gets" and he's played Portland twice in the last 6 months.
There's really no "rare" or otherwise noteworthy booking on the lineup, and that ticket price is too damn high.

I just realized I'm off the entire weekend for this, so I'm going to keep an eye out for cheap/free passes and single day tickets. I'd like to try to make it out for a day or two, especially if this is going to be the last one.
