Only put in about two or three hours yesterday. Loving it so far. A few observations: 1. Bionic arm = Link Skywalker
2. The story reeks of a thinly veiled Scientology origin tale what with the aliens descending from the heavens to establish the kingdom of Hyrule with the human(oid)s.
3. Haven't cooked shit so far. |

One thing I didn't love about Breath of the Wild, personally, is that it felt super lonely for most of the game. This one much less so, in fact the vibe feels closer to like Windwaker with the characters I'm meeting. Loving that so far. Feels more cozy in a good way

Feels more cozy in a good way They definitely seem to have taken a ton of feedback into consideration. The game definitely feels more full, the challenges you face are notably more difficult, the weapon degradation can be improved by fusion, and a bunch of other stuff I’m noticing. I’ve only done 15 or so shrines but they all seem to be significantly more unique than the ones in BotW, though I haven’t ventured much out of central Hyrule still. Need more time with it but so far my only complaint is that the frame rate drops when I use the special abilities are huge, like down into the 10 fps zone which is absolutely brutal for a AAA game like this. I also have a v1 switch so that could have something to do with it |

Yeah I've definitely experienced some frame rate drops. With some abilities or specially if multiple enemies on screen. I'm also on a V1 switch, I can definitely tell the age of the switch at points playing this game
But it hasn't bothered me all that much, and I played literally all day yesterday. Didn't even realize it but it was 2 AM when I turned it off. I think I put nearly 10 hours in. I might have a problem. Hasn't happened to me much in quite a long time, a little bit with Elden Ring but beyond that it's been a while. And it still feels like I've barely touched the top of the iceberg. Really have something incredible here. I'm kind of obsessed right now.

You guys are way ahead of me; I just landed in Hyrule last night. I’d be interested to know how people got to the shrine on Sky Time Island (or whatever it’s called) that’s located in the cold mountainous region. I was stumped for a little while when I couldn’t just climb up the icy cliff, but then I fused three logs together and shimmied on up. |

Is this right: My horses from BotW are all available in the Hyrule stables?!? I wounded a couple of those goblin-looking assholes with a horse and a cart, then mounted the horse and rode away. When I went to board it at the stable, there were five or six other horses available to me and I’m pretty sure they were all names I chose five years ago. |

I have 9 hearts and am a couple shrines away from a 10th. Have mostly been exploring and finding shrines to do and playing around with the new mechanics. Haven’t had tons of time to play but managed to get a decent amount in. All bets are off this weekend though

I have 7 hearts but I've also upgraded my stamina 3 times instead because climbing and gliding to places I feel like I shouldn't be able to get to is really fun. I haven't got to play a ton this week but I put in an inordinate amount of time this past weekend. Unfortunately probably won't have that much time this weekend. I'd estimate I'm at like 25 hours into it? I wish the Switch tracked hours played better. and if the game tracks it I havent seen that this is probably super minor spoilers and not that risky of a click but I'm spoilering it anyway I've so far beat the Wind and Fire Temples. I enjoyed both a decent bit |

Stoked about MGS3 remake, even more excited for Talos Principle 2. Kind of excited for Spider-Man 2 but I have a feeling it’ll be delayed to next year.

Just had a chance to look at the Snake Eater stuff. That came out my freshman year of college and I have so many core memories of sitting around a TV in the dorms with like five people passing around a controller just in awe of that game.
I can not believe that was almost 20 years ago and I'm feeling v old.

How deep is everyone in Zelda? I’ve done all the main story except presumably the very very end, all of the shrines and temples, and I’m down to noodling around and doing side quests until I decide I want to be done with it all. Still fully formulating some opinions on it but can generally say very positive

lol I have like 5 hearts? I just built my first car and it promptly flipped over and dumped me into some gloom. Reminded me of my first time snowboarding.
I'm enjoying it but I've been busy this past month or so - hoping to devote more time to it soon.
