$80
The system also comes with an HDMI cable, a charging cable, and two SNES controllers.
Also, I didn't know this, but apparently this is the first ever release of Star Fox 2.

They'll make like 5 copies of that available and then act surprised when it sells out.
I got an SNES off Ebay a couple years ago with 10 of those games for $20 bucks.

It's cool but realistically I'd only play DK Country, Super Mario World, and Super Metroid.

It's a great list - Final Fantasy being included is huge. That was my favorite game growing up - memorizing all of the Blitz options.

It's a good list but I really just want to buy all those on a Switch. Pls Nintendo, pls.
Also no Actraiser is bullshit.

Yeah, I'm definitely concerned this becomes a cannibalization of the virtual console library.

Eh if they were making the systems more widely available I think that'd be more of a concern.

That's fair. I can definitely see them specifically targeting everyone who wants nostalgia without the complexity of a current generation system. It's just easy to worry with the dearth of VC details for the Switch.

Eh if they were making the systems more widely available I think that'd be more of a concern. I guarantee you that they're making as many Switch units as possible. They had to do it this way in case it went the way of the Wii U.

I was referencing the NES and SNES retro-systems, not the Switch.

Ah, I see. Hopefully they'll have more SNES units to meet demand this time... I'm sure there *will* be more but not nearly enough to meet demand again. Demand is just way too high for these things to properly stock them at launch but they could certainly do a better job than they did with the NES now that they for-sure know that an audience is there.

I'm playing NES and SNES via my Raspberry Pi/Retropie. 150 games is way cooler than 30

Thaaaaaaaaaaat's cool.
AB, I'm v. tempted to make one of those for myself. I have enough tech know-how that I don't have an excuse not to.

FWIW, the systems you can use and how well they hold up: Nintendo: A+ Super Nintendo: A+ Sega Master System: A+ Atari: A-, but A+ if you get an additional controller just for that system Playstation: B+ N64: B-. It runs super slow with certain games. Others seem to work fine. Sega 32: A Dreamcast & PS2: No dice so far

The Switch is in stock online at Gamestop currently. Only the Arms bundle though

Really tempted to buy one today, just not sure if any stores around here have it in stock yet/I'm lazy and don't feel like calling around. Probably would have bought the bundle if it included Zelda

Yeah I'll add you too if you want. I also highly recommend Mario Kart if you didn't have it on the Wii U. It's been my go to party game since I bought it, its a lot of fun to play with people, plus a great pick up and play game if you are taking your Switch with you somewhere
I'm kind of split on getting Arms. I'd really love another Switch game but I didn't really like the motion controls much at all and I dunno how it'd be with a regular controller since I don't know if you could control the punches as well.

I've heard it works surprisingly well with a normal controller... you don't get to separately arc each punch but apparently it's still the go-to for ranked play somehow? I think it has something to do with the block button being on a button rather than a hand motion which is the major flaw of the motion controls. That said, what's the point if you're not gonna use the motion controls, y'know?
