It's bc every kanye release is so heavily publicized and lauded by places like P4K. There's lots better stuff it just doesn't get the attention from well known sources.

or it's because he's been around forever in terms of hip-hop and hasn't made a bad album.

famous last words in the year that we've pretty much trashed all our favorite artists

They're all good to great albums. Easily the biggest rapper with a consistent output, so why is this surprising?
This board trends heavily towards rock music, anyway.

Irvred if you’re telling me when Lowlights kicks in with a rousing “YOU WANT ME TO GIVE YOU A TESTIMONY ABOUT MY LIFE” you don’t get a major hardon I’d go so far as to call you a dirty liar

I am not the authority on hip hop on this board, but I have enjoyed Del the Funky Homosapien's "Gate 13" and Smoke DZAs "Not for Sale"

And I haven’t listened to the two barrel mentioned, but they’re on my list and they’re probably good.

I'd also throw out the Czarface/MF DOOM collaboration, and of course the new Young Fathers album is hip hop (tho far more pop).
I've got a Spotify playlist of rap albums that I haven't gotten to. But of teek's list I'd say start with that Jean Grae album. It's really good.

I honestly never see any of your posts recommending rap albums, so it'd probably be helpful.

new Pusha is fucking great. worst part is yeezy unfortunately, even though i thought the self referential parody of poop scoop was funny. rest of the album is 10/10 tho
edit: like, it's as REALLY jarring interim in an otherwise awesome album with a lot of digs at modern politics. so to have kanye jump into the middle of a heated song and start talking about himself deserving respect for wearing a maga hat is kinda fucky in so many ways

Kanyes verse was good and his production basically makes the album great. Bad take
