After "I Thought About Killing You", I don't think I can ever listen to another dumb Chance album about candy corn and bad grades again.

Big fan of the album artwork for semi-obvious reasons

Once again, I can never understand how people can listen to something more than twice in a day. I just don't get it.

Only chance I'm listening to something more than once a day is if it's less than 30 minutes.

With it so short, I gave it two listens, just like I did with Daytona. I'll revisit it later today if I feel like it since there's other stuff to check out.

I think we can at least all agree that TLOP should have been seven songs.

It's.....fine. Ghost Town, Violent Crimes, and Yikes were the best after two listens. Nothing super memorable tho, especially by Kanye standards.

I think we can at least all agree that TLOP should have been seven songs. Bad news man, there are at least 13 great Kanye songs on that album and the rest are good. Also I really like the new album. Not sure where I rank it in Kanye's discography but it is really very good.

"Yikes" is an extremely Kanye West song title.

Listened to this twice (although I listened to Ghost Town 5 times). I like it, but need more time with it. Not really a fan of "Violent Crimes" rn.
I am digging the short album trend.

So every album he's involved with is going to be 20-25 minutes, correct? I forget if that was actually confirmed.

Production on Pusha is more vintage Kanye. I don't know how I'd rank the two.

Where I'm with on this at the moment is it's great that this isn't a catastrophe but it might've been a little more interesting if it was a catastrophe. Alot of Kanye's verses feel like placeholders, because even the worst kanye verses are at least fun or problematically goofy and some of these really fade in the distancy ASAP Rocky style and while the length helped Pusha because he couldn't waste a minute, this feels more deliberately edited down to fit the 7 song thing with how he was feeling that day
"Ghost Town" is "Ultralight Beam" level exciting.

third listen and I'm kinda torn. I like the purpose of the album? the mental health, the honesty, , reflection, etc. But the lyrics aren't that great, there's some cringe on here. I think "Yikes" is my favorite cut, but "Ghost Town" is such a bizarre track that I may love it. Violent Crimes is also good. I think the only forgettable track is All Mine.

I read that the rumored album title last night was Wyoming - that would've been a way better title, especially if the cover art had no text. Ye sounds like the title of a theoretical comeback album with 5 big hits on it in like 2022. I like it though, especially I Thought About Killing You.
