Sorry I couldn't make it out after a week of travel. Hope you at least found someplace decent to hang.

Jayhawks at Brooklyn Bowl on Friday and Saturday. Should be able to find a ticket for cheap, I imagine; neither show is sold out. Edit: And those other ones monasterymonochrome mentioned. XD

Just booked my flight for my trip 4/13-4/16. I am very excited to see the Sox get crushed by the Yankees.

Shout out to the NYU kid listing his dorm on Airbnb. Seems like a huge risk just to make $40

Any of you guys try for/have luck getting Better Oblivion tickets today? I couldn't even get a single for Bowery Ballroom. No dice for MHOW, either. Hoping they come back in the summer and do a Celebrate Brooklyn! show.

Just found out I’ll be back in the city for a week later this month. Planning on doing the following shows, anyone else?
Tim Hecker @ National Sawdust - 2/19 William Basinski @ Ambient Church - 2/23 James Blake @ Terminal 5 - 2/24 or 2/25 (these are sold out so if anyone needs to unload a ticket, hit up yr boy)
Then maybe Jonathan Richman or Anderson .Paak or Julia Holter or Middleditch & Schwartz on 2/22, can’t decide.

Just finalized our Airbnb's. 2 nights in Astoria (by the Ditmars Blvd station) and 2 nights in Park Slope (by the bandshell).
Going to the Yankees game and to a show at the Booth Theater, so any beer/coffee/restaurant recommendations are greatly appreciated. I still have doso's brewery recs from last time and we're going to hit up Threes Brewing for sure.

Some of my favorite Brooklyn restaurants: - Alma (Mexican, great view of lower Manhattan from the third floor roof deck) - Le Paddock (Bistro, excellent food, good cocktails, my favorite burger in the city) - Double Windsor (Bar that always has top-notch beers on tap with a very good kitchen) - Provini (Solid Italian food) - Emmy Squared (Detroit-style pizza and another great burger) - Hometown, Fletcher's, Pig Beach (barbecue joints - Hometown has the best reputation, Fletcher's is outstanding) - Brooklyn Crab (pricy, but very good seafood with a festive atmosphere) - Frankie's 457 (Also Italian, but more modern than Provini) - Song/Joya (Very good Thai food, but quite noisy) - Insa (I haven't been yet, but it's supposed to be excellent Korean barbecue - plus karaoke!)

Q: I want to go to that Interpol/CSH/Snail Mail MSG show next weekend, and - based on the inordinate number of ads I've seen for it - this can't be selling well. That said, like most MSG shows, StubHub isn't budging much from $40 or so. What are my odds of scalping outside the arena for less than this? Anyone had success there before?

I've never tried my luck with scalping at the venue, but there are always plenty of people looking to sell tickets on 7th Avenue and on the plaza adjacent to 7th Avenue where most people enter. If prices are going to drop on Stubhub, it probably won't be until like a day or two before the show.
