Can more or less guarantee that nobody in NYC on this board will be at that.

The Arcade Fire show taking place at Grand Prospect Hall cracks me up. For those who aren't familiar, they are quite the gilded palace and they have had hilariously cheesy commercials throughout the years (always with the tagline: "We make your dreams come true!").
We hosted my stepson's bar mitzvah there two years ago (in one of the smaller rooms) and it was delightful. Mashed potato bar ftw.

dfa records had their 10 year anniversary party there a few years back too. looks like a blast of a formerly regal, old school place.

Oh, and they also hosted the national My Little Brony convention a couple of summers ago! We took an informal tour when we were shopping around for locations and they've done a pretty great job keeping the place in good shape. The main room is a kick and apparently modeled after an opera house in Vienna.
It didn't look like any board regulars got tickets, but if any lurkers are planning on attending and taking the R train, note that the Prospect Ave. station is closed for upgrades.

Already bought one for just under face on Stubhub a few weeks ago. If I knew you were selling I'd have bought from you.

I had no luck getting tickets to that Webster Hall End of an Era event.
I wanted to go there one last time but they haven't had anything lately that interested me besides NIN and I missed tickets for that too.

it's not in the ballroom, but dreamcrusher is in the studio which would be a good option.

I didn't even try. I have no interest in buying a ticket when I don't know the band, ESPECIALLY because it could be some trap rap bullshit b/c Meadows. Jay would be cool, and I'll only be devastated if it's Gorillaz. It won't be Gorillaz. I wasn't willing to take the risk. Plus, NIN was the perfect final show to go to there since it was one of the best shows I've ever seen, bar none.

even if it was someone I didn't care about, I don't think I would have any trouble moving the ticket. It was worth the it for me.

Well, if it's somebody you don't care about but I do, I'll be the first to bite Worth noting that they checked IDs to make sure they matched the buyer at NIN. I think somebody ahead of me got in with a scalped ticket anyway (not 100% sure) but the people directly in front of me had a friend buy the tickets and said friend had to walk them in even though she wasn't going herself. I think checking IDs against tickets as actually illegal in NYC but I appreciated it b/c fuck scalpers

I looked at stubhub prices of the End of an Era show right when Action Bronson was announced, listings were at $95. Just a few hours later they are as low as $24.

Seriously though, Action fucking Bronson? That's a joke. They *knew* expectations would be for, like, Jay-Z. They're closing Webster AND it's sponsored by Meadows... and it's Action Bronson. Biggest lul. Sorry you got burned though, dood.

Bruce Springsteen is playing Walter Kerr Theater in October for 8 weeks of solo shows.
Probably was already announced, but I just saw it, so that's significant or something.

Ok, I could swing a $75 ticket for this but I guess you need to register for the opportunity to get a code to purchase tickets in the first place. So if anyone registers but can't go and wants to throw me the code...
