I'm just gonna try on Friday, I don't usually bother with presales tbh What are the prices btw? $63, $53, $44 About what I expected, maybe a bit more than I'd like to pay for this show but I'll deal. Worth doing it since I haven't been to the theater before.

Got a St. Vincent ticket but it's not really where I want to be sitting... way off to the right. I fucking hate seated events, ugh. Couldn't really deal with Ticketmaster's system so I just took what looked best (I was given horrible options). I did only pay the middle price tier, though.

Thanks for the tip, no dice. Plenty of good seats for that Sunday night show. Grabbed a pair in the front row of the mezzanine wing on stage left. I've always wanted to sit there for a Kings Theatre show.
Of note: the desktop TM for this event was doing the typical thing where they pull what they say are the best available seats. The mobile TM app, on the other hand, provided a list of available tickets. Not as convenient as choosing directly from the detailed map, but they are/were offering way better seats. I was pulling rows N and P on the desktop, but they have rows I and K on the app (plus the aforementioned mezzanine seats in row AA, of course).
Also, the Kings Theatre website now has a PDF with a seat-by-seat detailed chart of the venue. Very handy.

I kinda liked how it was separate from Bowery Present's monopoly. Not overly happy about that.

Bought a ticket for the first Fleet Foxes night for face on StubHub because this album is too great for me to only hear live once.
Did somebody here say they were going to this? goodson? can't remember who.

If prices drop on the fleet foxes tickets I'd go to a show, but I might just sit outside and listen for free. Will I miss much?

I had no idea there was a venue there. Not far from me, either.
I listened to Interpol and Willie from outside the gates a couple of summers ago. A lot of people have the same idea and it gets pretty chatty out there, but it works if you're a casual fan. It's certainly not like Fleet Foxes have a must-see stage show, so visually I doubt you'd miss much. But if you're a fan and you can swing it, it's probably worth ponying up for a ticket just to be among other people who are invested in hearing the show.

It's def important for me to be inside the venue. Not like I'd travel all the way to Prospect Park only to sit outside. Tickets on Stubhub are pretty close to face rn, and idk, they're not gonna have a huge stage show but seeing the performance is part of it regardless imho. otherwise just listen to the record, it'll sound less muddy than sitting outside the venue.

I live across the street from the park (and clearly no dice is also in the vicinity), so the calculus is a little different compared to someone coming in from Manhattan. I agree that it probably wouldn't be worth the effort to travel from another borough and sit outside the fence.
I don't particularly care for Interpol, but it was a nice night out and listening from outside the fence was a pleasant way to pass the time. I love Willie, but I've seen him before and wasn't willing to pay whatever the ticket prices happened to be (especially since his lung capacity is so diminished). Again, it was a good hang for a summer evening.

Yo La Tengo is reviving their 8 Nights of Hannukah tradition - now at Brooklyn Steel (used to be at Maxwell's in Hoboken). Tickets on sale Friday.
