i haven't gotten to listen to anything yet but reminder that the new Carcass EP, Emma Ruth Rundle/Thou collaboration, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Puscifer albums are all out today too so I'm not ready to give anyone an AOTW award yet

I reviewed the new Nothing album, so I've had it for a bit and jammed it daily. Better than their last by a mile.
New OPN is crazy good too. I was not a fan of the new Mourn album.

the new opn, by design, is all over the place, but ultimately is probably a bit too all over the place. it's still good, tho, and maybe my fav of his in years (i also liked the age of)

Coworker of mine is a fellow Garcia Peoples fan and also a Deadhead (but only up through the hiatus) - today we were talking about the new GP record (still excellent!) and he recommended this album, Agitation Free - 2nd. And woah, it's incredible. They're a German band from the early 70s, but they skip over the motorik sound in favor of a two-guitar harmony-based instrumental sound. Imagine if you dropped Jerry into 1970s Berlin and mixed in a little Stockhausen too? Give the first track a shot on here - and I'd bet at least the Dead folks here would love it.

the so-called "innocent criminals" must have finally been detained Their inclusion on the Epstein flight logs didn’t do them any favors

I’m excited for this to be a bit that carries over into my real life that I present with absolutely no context to the people I’m close with

best i can tell there are 3 innocent criminals; two to do the beatbox from "always have to steal my kisses from you" and one to strangle epstein

I never listened to any of their albums until a few years ago. 'Tiny Daggers' is great.

new Carcass EP is the only thing getting me through the day.
also the Emma Ruth Rundle/Thou is probably the wildest, heaviest thing of the entire year.
we did the concert stream of the new Puscifer record last friday and it's pretty dang great too.

Pinballed between these two albums all day to ease some anxiety. The jam and jam-adjacent fans here would probably love this first record, Pacific Range - High Upon The Mountain. It's a meld of Gram Parsons, Allman Brothers, and Europe 72. Kind of a less choogly and more country-fried version of that excellent Rose City Band LP from earlier this year. The second album, Trummors - Dropout City, is another take on the Gram/Emmylou / Laurel Canyon aesthetic but with some of the best, most well utilized steel guitar I've heard all year. There's some Dead in here too, really both of these albums are up the same alley. Really open, collaborative country-leaning jams.

Also - sidenote - the method I used to use for resizing images (hosting them on imgur then editing the dimensions there, and repasting the image URL here) is no longer working. How else do y'all resize your images?

How else do y'all resize your images? Oh, honey You have to do it from an actual reply, not a quick reply, but switch to bbcode after you drop your image in. The “maxwidth” number will be 100, scale it down however you’d like. Credit to jazzpolice for this method

I never really listened to Future Islands and I know this new one didn't get good reviews, but I like it and it really hit the spot just now

I never really listened to Future Islands and I know this new one didn't get good reviews, but I like it and it really hit the spot just now I think it’s good, it just does not vary from their formula at all. They pretty much have done the exact same thing for 4 or 5 albums now
