Teekoh were you at that Reachin album set at riot fest a few years ago? Was incredibly sick

Hmmm, I think I wanted to be but was not? I don't think I ended up going that day, which seems like a poor choice in retrospect.

Had in my head that was the same day as Cat Power which I definitely remember seeing you at but I’m probably wrong

Oh, maybe I didn’t get in early enough? I have seen them, but I don’t think it was that set.

Listened to this one last night and thought I'd share with the group. London Grammar was probably at the tail end of the "could still discover stuff via iTunes promotion" phase of my listening cycle- their debut album still holds up and this one is cut from that cloth. Their related section is all shit this board swoons over (the xx, Wolf Alice, Chvrches tho I guess not as much anymore) so there's probably some fans here that don't know it yet.

Haven't actively listened since their (pretty good!) debut album, but I'm pretty sure I've heard the entire London Grammar discography via Love Island

Today's Phish show was 12/7/97, in Dayton, Ohio. Pretty sure I originally listened to this because Harris played it's awesome "Slave To The Traffic Light" version on Analyze Phish. Just gonna paste in my new log entry for the rest of this writeup. "A tight, fan favorite show - just over 2:15:00. Few long jams but amazing segues and solos throughout. Faves were It’s Ice > Swept / Steep > Ice > Theme; Slave (from Analyze Phish); Boogie On > Reba > Guyute, the latter is amazing. Show also notable for the first Tube jam.

New Lucy Dacus is great as expected. Also checked out the album by L'Rain that's getting hyped, it was definitely interesting. Onto Sault and Tyler later.

Started the Lucy album, but wasn't in the right headspace for it - switching to Tyler now

Decided to start with Modest Mouse. I haven't turned it off yet as I hit the halfway point, which already makes it better than the last one.
Tyler, Lucy, mountain goats, spelling, and Hiss Golden on my plan to get to today as well, not necessarily in that order.

I think I like this album more than her last one. I didn't realize she'd gotten so big since that record. She's got multiple songs w/ 2+ million streams and one with 30 million

New SAULT album was pretty great too, tho it didn’t hit me as hard as their last two upon first impression. I was only half-actively listening tho, so I wanna give it a proper second listen later today.
Just went for a run and listened to the new Tyler again - shit was still awesome

New Mountain Goats album is cut from the same cloth as Getting Into Knives, which is pleasant. Some good tunes as always.
Lucy Dacus album was really good. For some reason this album didn't feel as emotional as her last one (which is weird given it's a somewhat autobiographical album). Will be back for more. That Vic show is probably a must if you've never seen her before.
This Tyler album is good on first listen: I like his last 2 more. Someone sell me an extremely cheap ticket to this Lollapalooza festival.

Bahahaha it's more Phish writeups! I re-listened to 7/1/97 and 7/2/97 from the Amsterdam set over the weekend and this morning. Both were excellent, but I think I liked the latter more. Inputting my notes on the shows next: 7/1/97, Amsterdam, Paradiso - Amsterdam, show 2 - Good show overall - Limb By Limb > Ain’t Love Funny is my first set highlight. Nice Horn and Ya Mar too. Second set Bathtub Gin is fun, jammed out Cities, and a beautiful Circus encore. 7/2/97, Amsterdam, Paradiso - Amsterdam, show 3 - Mike’s > Simple open the show on a high note - great, tight versions of each w/ soaring jams and a perfect segue between them. Maze kicks ass after Simple - another tension-release jam w/ Page going nuts on organ. Nice Ginseng and Water in the Sky too. Second set Stash is insane. Normal Stash jam that shifts into a mellow, MLB-type groove around 20-mins, then gets ambient, dissonant and moves right into a high-flying Llama > “Wormtown” Jam.
