I'm pretty confident that I've never heard an alt-J song.

When they first blew up one of the old boarders said something wildly un-PC about them but I still think about it to this day.

How is this possible? They were everywhere in like 2013/2014 I just listened to some of their top tracks on Spotify and the only one I heard before was "Left Hand Free" This is probably their worst song. I'm surprised to see several people jump into this boat with you, but maybe they weren't as big as I remembered? They def played Lolla multiple times. I think they had the biggest crowd of their day of Bonnaroo 2013 (they played on Thursday). I thought there was a large board contingent there but maybe I'm not remembering that correctly either.

I have awful taste and I’ve only heard Breezeblocks but I also don’t listen to the radio and only was near the stage at lollapalooza when they were playing Breezeblocks (waiting for another set at lakeshore not intentional)

Wow. The new Big Thief is a masterpiece.
I'm gonna get hyperbolic for a second: - Definitely the best album of the 2020's so far. - Probably the best album since 2010. - Possibly the best album since Kid A.

Oh hell (aladyTM) that could be me for all I know.
Also does Adrianne really scream "that's my grandma" on "Red Moon" and also is that her actual grandma I don't know it was silly. Album is good so far (about 2/3's in) and there's only been one "bad" song on there so far.

The new Big Thief is obviously excellent, probably my favorite of theirs. They have to be one of my favorite things going right now. Look forward to seeing them in April

P4k and the others were right about this one too (Raveena). Recommended for those who enjoyed the Amber Mark album. Also gave the Big Thief album a try. It's the first album of theirs I actually enjoyed, although I could probably do with about half of the second half of the album.

I listened to that Yeule album this weekend and hated it, but I thought "pitchfork is going to love this". Just got BNM.

Waited a few days to respond to this, as I wanted to really digest the album first. But I've listened to it like 5 times now and I don't think any of this is too much of an exaggeration. I'm in awe.

The only part I don't really vibe with is Flower of Blood and Blurred View coming back to back. With Little Things just two minutes before them, it makes for a pretty dense sounding middle of the album. They're good songs tho, so idk if I'd want them chucked off the tracklist. I mean, in a vacuum, Blurred View is one of the coolest sounding songs Big Thief's ever made. But I feel like it would flow a little better w/o them.

Last time I can recall reacting so strongly to a newly released album was, like, Joanna Newsom's Divers, Jeff Rosenstock's Worry, or Gang of Youths Go Father In Lightness (tho I was a couple months late to hearing it). All of those are all-timers for me. Idk - it's a fun feeling!

Sorry, I was mobile boarding. I originally included that in my first post, but it appeared as nonsense. When I refreshed the page it didn’t carry over and I didn’t double check
