Yeah the new YLT is a career best imo. Glad they got a BNM bc they've been wildly consistent over the years. It's like the perfect marriage of YLT and Sonic Youth you're ever gonna get. Agreed, probably my favorite of theirs since I Am Not Afraid of You on the first listen. Even gets close to Electr-o-Pura level on some tracks. Very happy I get to see them play this stuff at Metro |

This Yo La Tengo album is Fine. They made the same song 9 times. If that's your thing, happy for you, but calling this a late career masterpiece like the fork did seems like a reach.

Dubstep was a profoundly annoying and mostly horrible genre.
But it did get unfairly maligned because its critics were prudish dorks who weren't willing have 90 minutes of stupid fun and do nitrous with the world's worst wooks at a Bassnectar show.
