This Sprints album is pretty good. Anything else of note out today? I haven't hit any of the blogs up yet Shoegaze band Perpetual Void put out a new one yesterday, it's decent. I've got a band called Haywire 617 queued up bc it's got a collab with Chubby and the Gang on it.

Not sure about this Sprints album or the 60 current buzz bands that sound basically the same as this but the apple music related artists reminded me how good that one Porridge Radio album is

I think I'm one of the only ones who uses Tidal regularly here, they must have just gotten the rights to Thrill Jockey's catalog back, Oozing Wound and Colleen and others are finally available on there again

Really loving the new Bill Ryder-Jones and Marika Hackman albums that came out yesterday. Also Cosmic Joke is some good punk.

Inspired by my recent Sublime obsession. Still one of the best albums of the last 5-10 years.

"Angels and Fuselage" fucked me up, as it always does. So I had to dip into this one to bring Ronnie back to life.

It's probably fine that Green Day are gonna play Dookie and American Idiot on this tour cause this new album is pretty forgettable.

It's probably fine that Green Day are gonna play Dookie and American Idiot on this tour cause this new album is pretty forgettable. I don't know, about half of it is actually pretty decent. There are several very skippable songs in the back half of the album for sure though. This on the other hand was a very nice surprise (glass beach - Plastic Death). I did not connect with their last album at all, but this was really in my wheelhouse

Agreed on glass beach, first album was just okay but this one is a whole new direction.
New Sleater Kinney is decent, better than the last one for sure.

I'm honestly addicted to Sublime. I've listened to "What I Got" like 10 times in the last three days. Been queueing their singles up throughout my commutes. It's becoming an addiction. Well, now I'm branching out a little bit - checking out the excellent reggae record Greetings by Half Pint. Real Sublimeheads will recognize the hook of "Loving," and the title track is an incredible dancehall classic.

I've 180'd on this band and keep finding myself coming back to this record (Bar Italia - Tracey Denim)
