Welcome to another edition of: Monastery gets obsessed with something he had inexplicably never listened to before! Life Won't Wait is my favorite, but Let's Go - the previous one before this - would also be a good next step.

I’m partial to the self-titled 2000 record myself.

MGMT getting their flowers 15 years after all the "respectable" publications clowned on them is truly proof that these orgs have always been useless in the internet age (I haven't gotten to any new music because I am listening to Pearl Jam in anticipation of maybe spending too much money today)

Its a very well polished classical sounding jazz album. Unfortunately, I kinda hate classical sounding jazz

That trio was my favorite set at Big Ears last year so I’m very hyped for that album.

Stay Inside, an emo band I like, just put out their new album today, instead of Friday for some reason. Very good stuff anyways. And thanks to a notification from Beat Kitchen, I now know there is also a band called Stay Outside, so add that to the list of confusing band names.

Love love love that album.
This Friko record would’ve been a massive hit for Saddle Creek in 2006. I dig it.

Pretty good too, thankfully they are already experimenting with their sound a bit on this one
