I've listened to Blueprint, Late Registaration and Mclusky Do Dallas the most on that list most likely. All three of these are top 10, too, and debated McLusky in the top 5. Gonna have two Falco albums in the top 10 it's gonna be wild.

damn i completely forgot about the clientele those albums were so fuckin good huh Listened to their first 3 albums plus the singles comp last night but honestly none of them stood out enough for me to consider as a top 100.

I'm really having a hard time getting started with this, too, although I admittedly haven't thought about it in earnest. I think my top 5 is 1. Modest Mouse- The Moon and Antarctica 2. Madvillain - Madvillainy 3. Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca 4. The National - Alligator 5. J Dilla - Donuts 6. Kanye West - Late Registration 7. Mclusky - Mclusky Do Dallas 8. Arcade Fire - Funeral 9. Future of the Left - Travels with Myself and Another 10. Jay Z - Blueprint but I have no idea. Decided to fill out a top 10, but I don't know how I feel about that at all.

Forgot about Source Tags & Codes. First listen through it. It's in a weird niche where, if I were making this list in late high school / early college, it'd be so high. This was very on brand for me then. Now though, its hard to say where it would rank because while I can tell I would've liked it and ranked it alongside some of these other albums from that era IN that era, it's not that special to me.

Okonokos has proven to be a great thing to throw on at work to chip away, but I can't do it on the record for some reason. I love the live version of The Way That He Sings, but it just bores me on At Dawn.

At Dawn was in my Top 5 when I put together my original 2000s list back in the day. Doubt it'll be that but it will still have a nice place.
I was planning on spending most of 2019 doing research on stuff I missed for my 2010s list. Gonna have to really crash course this.

Irv, I love your list! Somewhat surprisingly tho, One Beat is one of the few S-K albums I've yet to hear. Gonna spin that one tonight!

Looked over my nomination list (175 albums deep at the moment) - and thought I'd take the opportunity to make some of y'all feel old.
Viva La Vida is the only record of all my nominees that I actually listened to during the 2000s.

Supreme Clientele is a great album but the dated omophobic insults nearly every other song were way too offputting for me to place it on a top 100 list.

I guess I better get started on this. I already know Radiohead will be my #1. Not the one you’re thinking of though.

Yeah, the timeline is just too short for me with all the obligations I have coming up.

Does the deadline need to be moved? I put it at a month just for the sake of having a deadline, if we need to move it that doesn't bother me.

200 is just so much.
i compiled a huge list of everything that made the major publications AOTY lists back in the day but i can already tell it doesnt even begin to cover a lot of the metal and punk albums i want to include. it's gonna be a pretty hefty bit of research.

The deadline is fine for me but 100 albums is too few. If the list is 200 albums why are we all submitting 100? Why aren’t we all submitting 200?

I was just trying to make it easy for everyone, and it was suggested the maximum to be 100.

Makes sense. I suppose some people may struggle to come up with 100. I still hve a huge list of albums to get through and I’ve been consistently replacing and removing albums from the list of 100 I already have.

Does the deadline need to be moved? I put it at a month just for the sake of having a deadline, if we need to move it that doesn't bother me. just speaking for myself, it's not the deadline. I'm overwhelmed by this decade in particular. these years were so formative and I'm having trouble distilling that into a ranking

I think the deadline should be moved for sure. October 2018 is a pretty arbitrary deadline for such a list.
What about sometime in January when there are barely any new releases anyway?

Great list goodson. I'm glad everyone has such diverse lists. Makes tabulating a nightmare but it's cool that we all experienced this decade a little differently.
