I also finally started my free trial of Shudder, honestly how did I not do this sooner. A lot to see on here.
I will probably keep it for a month or so just to get my fix. About to hit a nice bonus at work and might buy an annual Filmstruck + Criterion sub as a treat, too. Gotta prepare for winter hibernation.

28. Escape From Tomorrow (2013)Thought it'd be more of a thriller for some reason but its still great. It had to be pretty goddamn hard to film an entire movie inside Disney World, and its so much goofy fun. Way more of a movie about the fear of fatherhood and responsibility than anything else. And now moving on to... 29. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Shudder via Prime is only 5 bucks a month so I did that this month. They've really expanded their catalog since the last time I used it.

Yeah the plan I chose was only 4.99 a month so I don't feel bad about keeping it for at least a month. I'm in the final throes of my horror binge, but I know by the end of the month I'm gonna be a little worn out. That's why I'm thinking I might just buy an annual sub to Filmstruck / CC. Especially if I know I have a "deadline" of a year, I might try to use it more, and access to the entire CC would be so cool.

30. Wolf Guy (1975)
Shudder rules. This rules. Everyone should see this. Have a few margaritas before you watch it - I did! EDIT: I am still watching this (~40 mins in) and it doesn't really seem to be a horror movie despite being on shudder. Not sure whether to count this.

I haven't even gotten close to the total number of films but I am for sure starting to burn out. Gonna see if I can remedy that this week

I'm feeling kind of burnt out too but trying to power through the mid-way slump. Hoping when the home stretch comes it'll re-energize me.

31. Triangle (2009) Woohoo! Technically finished the challenge. The end of this movie always always gives me chills - I've seen it enough times to remember how it wraps up, but there are always a few details I forget and it makes rewatches so rewarding. I can't recommend this movie enough, its not perfect but it is fun the entire time. Gonna keep going through the rest of the month!

Wasn't planning to do any rewatches. But a film discussion group that I go to sometimes picked this for this week, and why would I turn down watching Night of the Living Dead? This movie is perfect.

Just kind of plods along most of the way, and then the ending is a real wild showcase. Didn't really build enough tension throughout to qualify as a slow burn though. Was expecting more consistent fun. 26. Society
Basically agree with everything said above. It neither has alot to say nor nothing to say so I was pretty distracted and bored by the first hour. Ending is alot of fun tho.

List definitely feels like it's for film writers/film twitter and not horror movie fanatics though.

Oh I didn’t really pay attention to the ordering but I would agree a lot of that was dumb from what I noticed. It included some great stuff like Posession, Hour of the Wolf, and The Devils that I haven’t seen on a lot of lists.

What? There’s a lot of great stuff on there. holy crap did i write that list in my sleep? it's so close to my schedule lol although idk how i feel about it already including the Suspiria remake before anyone has really had a chance to weigh in on it yet edit: and also skipping Hereditary from this year but including a film that isn't even out yet is suspect

Got into an argument with a guy at my film discussion group last night about whether it was good that those guys killed Ben at the end of Night of the Living Dead
