It's a buyers world lol Appreciate it. Someone already messaged me about them so let's see if I can convince them I'm a real person Since I know y’all are waiting with baited breath, I sold these about an hour ago. In a statement that I will leave to the rest of y’all to unpack, I sold them to a mom to give to her daughter and her friend for a graduation present. Regardless of how the youths have ruined this festival, I feel pretty good about that one

It’s going to be beyond a dumb booking if it’s the same set as the last 4 years without many new songs.

"I wouldn’t want in 20 years to be listening to an album I made now and think that I finished it for any deadline or any particular reason. It was finished because it was finished."
If Kevin and I have similar procrastination levels there will never be another Tame Impala album. Are they a good band? Anyone? I get them mixed up with Alt-j constantly which is for sure not a point in their favor.

Whether or not there's a new album, I'm sure they'll have some new material for Coachella.
Tame Impala are still a good band IMO.

I've been a fan of Tame Impala since their first album and I'm excited to whatever they put out. I just don't think they are particularly exciting live, like I'd be down to see them again but I wish they weren't eating up headlining slots. They also haven't been very hard to see at all if you want to see them over the last few years
Also it's a way reach by Coachella to headline them. If they came through here I'm pretty certain theyd be playing the 3500 seat theater. They are the smallest headliner since that year with the Stone Roses/Blur and that one was a special circumstances and had a huge #rare factor anyway

They were one of the first acts I saw at Lolla 2012, my first fest ever, on the first day. I stayed for like 20 minutes, there were only like 50 people there, and then went and saw Metric.
Not to get nana on y'all but that was a great day.
First Aid Kit > Amnamanaguchi or whatever > White Panda I think? > Tame Impala > Metric > SBTRKT (fucking amazing) > Passion Pit > M83 > Black Keys/Black Sabbath
edit: actually every day was great.

I think Tame Impala will draw well at Coachella They definitely have crossed over more with the pop crowd than bands like VW and Arctic Monkeys

I freaking loved their first two albums, and their show this last go around with the vertical light cages was incredible.

I don’t think the members of alt j are necessarily bad musicians or anything I just think their music is a little boring.

They sound like three guys who don’t understand songwriting trying to rip off Kid A.
Their lolla set was one of the dullest things I’ve seen from a band with that late of a slot.

I think about GNasty’s description of Alt-J all the time but I can’t repeat it on The Board Dot 2019

I think the only full sets were Kevin Devine, the Growlers, and Sabbath; the rest were just sampler size.

Just found out that Frontier cancelled all DEN-PSP flights on the 11th including mine. So now I am deciding whether I should look for other flights or take this as a sign from the universe that I shouldn't go.
