Boy, you guys are REALLY trying to bum out the Coachella boarders who may find us... Here's the thing: Location wise, it is the best festival in America. Bar none. I will fight you about this. Every person who claims to enjoy music festivals should go at least once, almost regardless of lineup. However, from Chicago, it is a pain in the ass to get to and very expensive, as we all know. So with the current trend of every large festival looking exactly the same here in the states, it is very hard to justify, especially when there are only 2-3 "gets" and every other good act touring and coming through. The fact that all the "cool stuff" that they used to book is touring separately this time (Massive Attack, Spiritualized, etc.) doesn't bode well either. If I lived on the west coast, I would go every year, much like I do regardless of Lolla and Pitchfork's lineup here. And I know that I will probably end up going back to this fest again at some point. Coachella 2013 was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. But it is getting hard to justify at this point in the game, which sucks. I don't know where I'm going with this post. I want to believe, I guess. Here's an Aphex Twin song |

Everyone is really lame, but very friendly. I still come over here for tour info, new album info, and just general fun reading. I think people over there are too friendly. They lock any arguments, they lock drug threads, they lock anything that is not all roses and sunshine. I think Lolla will be fun, just different than Coachella. I tried to discuss that and they nicely told me to STFU. Boy have things changed! STFU, please?I fixed that for the polite Lollaboard. |

I just got told that I have five weeks in LA during work conveniently while both weekends of this festival is happening so I might do this finally.
judging from this thread I might be doing it the year everyone else is not doing it which sucks. but this lines up a little too well

I can't see them waiting until the week after given how many festivals and tour schedules have to wait on them to announce. |

That’s good for modern Coachella prices but still much more than I should be spending. |
