And yeah Doncic is awesome but I think Sexton can have a Donovan Mitchell-like impact and put up numbers for a playoff team right away. |

Has there even really been an explanation for his problem with Towns? I've only seen some speculation that it was related to effort, but this clearly goes beyond that.

Neither of the last two teams he's played for have offered him max deals despite him clearly deserving it. Rather than do that, they just re-upped Towns with a max deal.
No idea if Thibs pushed for the max deal and ownership wasn't having it, but Jimmy clearly took that as a sign that they value Towns/Wiggins more than him and has decided to show them why that's dumb. The report is that in that scrimmage he and the third stringers beat the starters.

From what I've read Butler has been pushing the "it's either him or me" crap for almost a year now and it came to a head this summer. They didn't get along from the get-go.
I'm biased with my Kentucky fandom, but I've never seen any complaints about Towns as a teammate or seen any reports about a lack of effort before Butler got to MN.
