Klay is going to score 100 tonight against the Bulls so that's kinda fun.

I saw this game was actually on WGN, which I get, and I was like, "nah, not watching that"

I think the 18-19 Bulls are my least favorite Chicago team of all time, and I can't even think of who is 2nd. The Drake LaRoche Sox?

92 points in the first half. Someone needs to remind me again why Hoiberg still has a job

DeAaron Fox is already so god damn good. That Sixers/Kings pick swap ended up as a blessing in disguise for Sacramento.

I appreciate that the Bulls have fully committed to the tank.

I'll be 8th row for the Nuggets and Pelicans tomorrow. This was incredible - center court, and the distributor that got my friend the tickets also got us wristbands to go into a club just off the floor. It's basically an airline club in the middle of an arena with better beer options and free food. Too bad Anthony Davis was out.

that they'll get the 2 seed? I'd bet that Utah will finish the regular season with a better record than Houston. I have to say this is looking pretty good right now. I was also really down on OKC this year and remember making a bet against them over the summer, but I can't remember the specific bet. Side note: Washington and Minnesota need to work out a trade ASAP. Both of those teams look absolutely miserable.

Yeah, that bet definitely came to mind last night. It has also put me in the uncomfortable position of not being able to simply enjoy their floundering.

Sounds about right. I think we agreed that the loser would send a gift card of the winner's favorite local brewery, but I can't remember the exact stipulations. I probably said something stupid like "OKC won't make the playoffs," but this was before free agency so I just assumed Paul George was LA-bound at that point.

Are beer bets still a thing here? You know, since most of us don't really go to festivals anymore. EDIT: Also, don't underestimate Roberson's knee injury. A patellar tendon is worse than an ACL, and probably the second most difficult injury to return from behind a torn Achilles. I'd be shocked if he's 80% of what he was before the injury. i’ll 100% take you up on that beer bet! i don’t know where you are, but chances are i won’t see you at a fest. don’t worry - i’ll let you know which beer store i shop at in okc so you can send me a giftcard ;-) and i’ll take an 80% roberson over no roberson or a lot of other players anyday.

As frustrating as the end of his Bulls career was, I could not be happier for him. Fuck yeah, Derrick.

Seems like a good time to mention that in two weeks the appeal of the woman who accused him of sexual assault will be heard.

He was also found not liable by a jury of mostly women.
Question: Do you have an understanding as to the word consent?
Derrick Rose: No. But can you tell me?
Question: I just wanted to know if you had an understanding.
Derrick Rose: No.
It sounded to me as though he literally did not know what the word consent means. Are you trying to hold his poor upbringing and lack of education against him?

Not at all. It’s not unreasonable to think that an adult playing in the NBA would’ve encountered the term at some point.
As we’ve seen countless times, the occasions of false accusations are exceedingly rare and there is hardly any benefit for women to bring accusations in the first place. The details of the case and story make it impossible for me to feel positively toward whatever he does on the court.
