He was also found not liable by a jury of mostly women. Question: Do you have an understanding as to the word consent?
Derrick Rose: No. But can you tell me?
Question: I just wanted to know if you had an understanding.
Derrick Rose: No.It sounded to me as though he literally did not know what the word consent means. Are you trying to hold his poor upbringing and lack of education against him? Come on, man.

If you've heard him give an interview at any point over the course of his career (including the one that was posted in this thread last night), it's obvious that his vocabulary is limited at best. I'm sure he knows what that word means now, but I don't think it's fair to assume he did (or didn't) back then.

How the Jazz let ol' glass knees at the ass end of his career go off for 50 pts is beyond me. Someone needs to sit on the bench and watch for a bit longer.

Ugh. I mean... If you got Tony Parker on your team and you need to desperately score points in the last couple minutes, he should probably be on the floor instead of Batum/a rookie. Ffs.

DeAaron Fox is already so god damn good. That Sixers/Kings pick swap ended up as a blessing in disguise for Sacramento. He is basically my favorite player in the NBA already. I am a Kings fan now. Vlade has been redeemed.

I looked at some on/off court Bulls stats to see how some guys were doing through 10 games. I thought this was pretty interesting:
LaVine On Court: 103.7 points scored, 114.2 points allowed (per 100 possessions)
LaVine Off Court: 106.3 points scored, 107.3 points allowed (per 100 possessions)
The Bulls with LaVine off the court have allowed as many points as the 12th best defense in the NBA, but with him on the court that drops to 27th. With him on the court they allow 37.3 3-point attempts, which would tie the Warriors for the most in basketball (but the Warriors' opponents shoot 32% on those attempts while the Bulls' opponents shoot 37% while LaVine is on the court).
With him off the court, Bulls opponents take 4 fewer 3-point attempts (per 100 possessions) and shoot much worse (32%). Jabari's numbers are also pretty bad but actually not nearly as awful as these.

I just watched the DraftExpress scouting video for Zion Williamson, and there is no way that dude is bad in the NBA (assuming he stays in shape). I don't think his ceiling is super high, but he has such a high floor. Basically a gigantic Marcus Smart type.

Zion Williamson as a teenager is the size of Shaq at 40. I don't see a possibility that the weight thing doesn't eventually become an issue.

Doncic vs. Bulls is only $12 Monday night. Might do that instead of boygenius

So two role players is worth more the Wolves than four first round picks eh?
Philly just made the east a lot more interesting

Philly just made the east a lot more interesting They're so capped out that four bad/protected firsts doesn't help them at all; accepting that trade basically would have guaranteed that they are horrible until KAT demands a trade in three years. Saric might be great and Covington is already good, so at least they have a shot at the playoffs while KAT is under contract now.

If the bulls lose to the cavs put GarPax in jail and then send the jail to Saturn or something

Gotta adjust the mindset to tank mode. Bulls need to be losing these games so they can get RJ Barrett or Zion Williamson.
And if GarPax get canned in the process: even better.

All of the cool dunks were in the first half even.

Trade the 2019 pick, Wendell Carter, and Zach LaVine's Contract for Anthony Davis. Then sign Khris Middleton or something.

Even assuming you could get Middleton (which seems like a stretch as Milwaukee can pay him & they have a pretty good thing going this year), you think Davis/Lauri/Middleton/Dunn/someone else is good enough to compete against Boston & Philly?
Recognize there’s risk playing the lottery, but if that pick ends up top 2 you’re getting a generational talent without having to give Carter (2.7 BPM as a rookie, for reference Davis was at 2.3) & LaVine (who yes has a -0.1 BPM, but that’s pretty close to the range Middleton was in before getting a competent coach).

I think a Bulls team with that core, competent vets, and a real coach would be around a 50-win team. If it becomes clear that RJ Barrett is a franchise changing talent and the Bulls have a top-2 pick, then yeah just take him. But I'm sick of this franchise being run like it's the Orlando Magic or something. All a LaVine/Markkanen/Carter/2019 Mid-Lottery Pick core does is ensure that this team has a 0% chance of being a contender for the next 5+ years.

Given their track record with picks that sounds right

I see a possible 2019 that is: 1. Kemba Walker/Kris Dunn (possibly to be traded)/Ryan Arcandino (everyone's a free agent so ?) 2. Zach Lavine/Chandler Hutchinson/Antonio Blakeney 3. Lauri/ (Denzel Valentine if he's not dead and a pick up?) 4. Zion Williamson/Bobby Portis 5. Wendell Carter Jr./Lopez which is on its way to be interesting.

Wait why are we gonna have a mid-lottery pick we are going to have like the third worst record in the NBA this year They have the fifth worst record now, and it's not like they're going to get worse when Markkanen/Portis/Valentine/Dunn are all back. There are a few astoundingly bad teams this year, so I think it's way more likely that the Bulls end up with the 8th or 9th worst record than the 2nd or 3rd.

It looks not impossible that Valentine is out for the season and the Markkanean injury is his shooting arm so he might not recover fully for awhile and MCL strains mean alot of minute restrictions whenever dunn and ports get back I wouldnt be surprised it the bulls cant pull it together until its full steam ahead tanking time.

The Cavs are maybe the worst team I've ever seen play basketball and the Bulls barely beat them last night how many more times could they possibly play them
