I see a possible 2019 that is: 1. Kemba Walker/Kris Dunn (possibly to be traded)/Ryan Arcandino (everyone's a free agent so ?) 2. Zach Lavine/Chandler Hutchinson/Antonio Blakeney 3. Lauri/ (Denzel Valentine if he's not dead and a pick up?) 4. Zion Williamson/Bobby Portis 5. Wendell Carter Jr./Lopez which is on its way to be interesting. Keeping Portis, extending Lauri, and signing Kemba to a max would basically cap out the Bulls. I think they should do everything they can to get Anthony Davis before his "pre-agency", and go on from there if that fails. It would be super depressing if all of this tanking just led to capped out 2020 Bulls team headlined by Kemba Walker and Zach LaVine.

And also I believe we wouldn't have to give Lauri an extension until the next year so we could fill out the roster with some alright veteran one years. It would also lead to a good basketball team where everyone is young and hopefully healthy (prayers) that has a high ceiling but also have Kemba Walker so they can sell tickets and compete for the 6-7-8 in the East. Thankfully everyone but Lavine/Lauri and the rookies have contracts past next year and the only guy we might even extend in 2020 is Kris Dunn who we wouldnt need with Kemba so cap wise it doesn't seem like much of an issue.

I just don't get why that would be anyone's idea of success in the front office. Hoiberg inherited a team that could have easily competed for a 6-7-8 seed this entire time, but we're already in Year 4 of a rebuild that was theoretically done in order to contend for a championship. The NBA is filled with teams who built expensive cores around young guys who will never win. This four year rebuild can easily turn into a ten year rebuild if Garpax goes all in on a guy like Kemba (who I love, but would not want to pay $40 mil to when he's 35)

Basically I think that if the Bulls don't end up with a top-2 pick and a chance at a "generational talent", they should reset the rebuild before committing huge money to even more guys who won't actually help you contend (i.e. Wiggins, Porter, Drummond, etc)

I feel like thats a parallel argument. In this "super team" era you kind of rebuild to become a 6-7-8 team and I think those teams have gone on to becoming basically the best teams in the East at the moment.I think no matter what happens Jabari Parker is a great $20 million dollar brick that basically cements a good draft pick and I can't imagine (although its a Reinsdorf team so who the fuck knows) Holberg is around much longer. I don't see how doing a full reset is going to help anything.

I wonder what it would take to get Bradley Beal if the Wizards just want to blow it up.

Zach Lavine is starting for the chicago bulls for the forseeable future the bulls don't need another SG who cant play point.

Warning that you might get sucked into a rabbit hole of 80's hoops videos on YouTube. I've been watching Sidney Moncrief highlights for 20 minutes.

I've had tickets for Friday's Sixers/Jazz game and just realized it'll be Jimmy's home debut with the Sixers

Watching Jaylen Brown makes me miss Jimmy Butler. I miss having players who have more than one NBA skill

LaVine's first 8 games: 51% from the floor and 38% from 3
LaVine's last 7 games: 36% from the floor and 24% from 3

I'd bet that Utah will finish the regular season with a better record than Houston. I have to say this is looking pretty good right now.I was also really down on OKC this year and remember making a bet against them over the summer, but I can't remember the specific bet. Side note: Washington and Minnesota need to work out a trade ASAP. Both of those teams look absolutely miserable. Along with catching Jimmy's home debut last night, got to witness in person the Jazz falling behind the Rockets' record

Based on his athleticism don’t think he was ever going to be a NBA starter, but he’s run into some unfortunate injury luck.

Stop talking about Kemba leaving. Batum gotta go. I'm still in "they're gonna be fine" mode.

latest fultz news is bumming me out and feels like it won't be good for anyone. was hoping he'd play enough to shake off some rust and build enough to value to be kicked over to a team where he'd be a better fit. instead we get prolonged drama and scrutiny on the kid.

Is there any reason the Bulls or someone like Orlando/Phoenix shouldn't make an offer for him? The Sixers could actually use someone like Justin Holiday, Terrence Ross or Trevor Ariza, whereas those guys serve no purpose on their current teams.

The Bulls should probably stop taking fliers on broken point guards.
Which means they'll trade for him.
