fever 333 at riot fest was the best festival set.

ex hex with mary timony on the street at Fullerton and Milwaukee was maybe the best set overall I saw all yr, because even tho I had seen timony yrs ago at lounge ax w/ helium, I was unimpressed then, but very impressed now.

Ashley Cleveland with her husband Kenny in someone's Michigan living room was just the coolest place see a show, but it didn't get top honors because she had earlier agreed to someone (not me)'s request to play her cover of Gimme Shelter, but didn't do it, although she did a great Samson and Delilah and a great Riding with the King.

This would be my #1 as well, I guess, it wasn't that great of a year in shows for me. Nothing I saw really blew me away, and all the festivals I like seem to be dying off (ATP, Fun x3, Day For Night). Some other shows I saw this year I much enjoyed:

I made a new year's resolution to go to more shows in 2018, since I usually averaged about 5-10 a year. I've been to 45 shows this year, and I'm hoping to get to 50 by the end of the month.
