I don’t care one way or the other but the idea that anyone is trying to ‘silence’ one of the most critically and commercially successful musicians is ridiculous. The live-album rule is fairly standard at this point across all publications and it’s strange we’re having this discussion because Beyonce.

i just truly did not understand why we needed to have a drawn-out semantic discussion about the inclusion of one album six months in advance, it really didn't matter

andy and i posted lists and i thought there was a lot to engage with and discuss about both of them but then it just became this conversation that i really did not want to have

It was literally just a question, about something that would come up at the end of the year and seeing as how I'm the person who usually does the lists, I was trying to avoid a situation where the people threw a fit close to deadline.

The board treated him terribly, regardless of his personal actions. This is part of the problem. There are fewer out and out personal attacks, but antagonism and instigation are still unfortunate hallmarks of the conversation here. And it's been getting worse recently.
