Realmuto to the Phillies for a package of prospects. I love this trade for the Marlins. Five years of Realmuto AND Sixto Sanchez for two years of Realmuto. Excellent job, Jeets

Excellent job, Jeets I know you meant to write Alfaro but if Jeet was able to turn 2 years of Realmuto into 5 years of Realmuto and Sixto it would probably be his 3rd greatest accomplishment after his WS rings and getting prime era Jessica Alba and Tyra Banks.

Man the Cubs have me in such a full court press trying to sell me season tickets. I've gotten two phone calls and three e-mails in the last 48 hours.
Wonder why you're having trouble selling those things guys! Maybe should have picked a different news week to put those on sale.

He's not worth 8 years or $250 million.

Here's the big names from last year and when they signed (or at least announced):
Yu Darvish Feb 10th Eric Hosmer Feb 17th JD Martinez Feb 19th Jake Arrieta March 10th
So I guess there's a decent chance the dominoes start to fall next week when spring training starts?

Always good to remember that Hosmer getting $140mm was a thing that happened in actual real life. God bless Boras.

Do any of you guys do mlb.tv subscriptions? Considering splurging on one for the Cubs this year just to be able to watch without dealing with reddit streams. Wondering if you feel like it is definitely (or definitely NOT) worth it for any reason

I get it for free with T-Mobile. Not sure about the cost, but watching any game I want (except blackout home Royals games) is pretty cool. My membership is good for any device, including my Xbox One.

I love it, but I'm also not in-market for the Cubs, so I don't have to deal with blackouts frequently.
That said, the ability to turn on any game on a whim, or four simultaneously, is just so great.

I get it for free through a friend's t-mobile too. Itd be worth it at full price though, I love flipping through the West coast games while I grade.

If you're out-of-market for your favorite team, it's so incredibly worth it. I especially love the radio audio overlay feature - let's me listen to Tom Hamilton instead of Cleveland's terrible TV commentators.

Wondering if you feel like it is definitely (or definitely NOT) worth it for any reason As previously stated I get it free though TMO, but I can't really ever take advantage since the White Sox games are all blacked out. I guess it would be cool if I followed an out of market team?

Nope, none that I've noticed, and I almost exclusively listen to the Cubs radio feed.

MLB.tv is definitely worth it. If you wait through spring training, they'll offer some pretty incredible deals.

as a fan of an out-of-town team, and one with a great broadcast team, mlb.tv is definitely worth it. also nice to throw on a late night west coast game or watch the last few innings of any potential no-hitter. every now and then the feed will be in SD or just take a while to buffer, but no huge problems. the most annoying thing for me is that they run the same commercials during every break.
how do you get it free through tmobile??

It's just a perk they offer all of the customers. They offer lots of extras like that.

Last year there was a deal offered right before opening day, too. It was something like $85 for the year.

Honestly if the all-team package dips under $100 at any point I'll pull the trigger
If the single-team package hit $75 I'd do the same and just get the Cubs

That really sucks for the A's. I imagine they'll make a rule about this to prevent it from happening in the future.
