Thanks! I know when I first joined it was 2 swaps every 6 months, but they must have changed it as the FAQ now states you can swap once a month.

hey record player people, question for ya...
last couple times i've tried to spin something, the sound is coming out all distorted/fuzzy. I checked and tightened all speaker connections about a week ago when it first happened. Seem to be fine for the tests right after.
Cut to today and I try spinning something and its back to fuzzy. Is it just the needle needing replacing? Other issues? just curious what experiences people have had if anything close to this...

needle could just be dirty. even if you don't see anything on it.

If it has a removable headshell, check to make sure that connection isn't loose or that the wires to the cartridge aren't loose either.

If you need to clean the needle, I highly recommend using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

I did some troubleshooting last night before my needle came today by first switching speakers, but there was still an issue. My receiver has channel A and channel B. For whatever reason, the B channel works fine, but A is having issues. So i can play it for now, but wanna get a quote from Decibel to see what it would cost to fix since this is a refurb from them almost a year ago. |

does anyone stack their player on top of their receiver? and if so, any issues from what you can tell?
flirting with the idea of getting a new receiver, pending how much Decibel wants for fixing the current one, but my shelf only allows for 5" in height. Low profile receivers seem impossible to find. Otherwise I can get a normal looking one and place it on the top shelf where my player
