maaaan i was just gonna bitch about Mondo but then i saw i can finally get the Fountain OST on vinyl so fuck me aaaand they gone. so nvm. maybe a store here will get a handful in a few months but idk |

after 2 weeks, finally got my receiver back from Decibel. Spun a record with no issues Friday evening. Tried it out last night and there was a loud hum, and smoke started coming out of the stop  unplugged it right away. waited a bit and tried a record briefly and everything sounded fine. Gonna call Decibel tomorrow to see whats up. Luckily it is back under warranty from the recent repair. I am just sad I can't spin records. Might be time to look for a new / modern receiver. |

I bought some albums for the first time in a while Can- Ege Bamyasi Pusha-T- Daytona Uncle Tupelo- Ayodyne Irreversable Entanglements- s/t Protomartyr- Costellation EP informed me that they had a copy of the Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea reissue as well so added that to this list too. Their storefront is closed but they sell the used shit (and they've had some nice stuff on there the last few times they've done it) via Instagram on Sundays at 3pm |

The Weeknd released a couple of different 10th anniversary editions of House Of Balloons here. I imagine there's a few people here that may be interested. i saw there was gonna be a 10th anniversary vinyl limited to 1000 onsale at 2pm, so i logged on then to check it out. turned out the normal version is unlimited and the "designer collaboration" was $100 and said it was limited to 1000 but the page also said something like "the first 1000 copies will ship in september and after that copies will ship in march 2022" so i said forget that. now i see they took away all mention of the $100 one being limited? lol. |

the saga of my receiver continues. followed up with Decibel to see what was up after a month+ without hearing from them. turns out they attempted to fix it, but it crapped out after they replaced some parts. The tech has another idea, but they are offered a loaner or store credit if I want.
I'm gonna go take a look Monday, but I think its time for a new receiver. Anyone have a decently priced receiver they like that will allow a 14x14 player to sit on top if it?
