The Bulls have blown something like 7 4th quarter leads in 13 games so maybe pump the breaks on them being a better alternative.
I'll be the sole reasonable person here that points out the performance of this team so far isn't even remotely close to being just on Trubisky.

Ohhhh boooyy Been reading the postgame comments by Myles and Freddie and it seems they were not-so-subtly alluding to something like this. Rudolph's lawyers are already vehemently denying, hopefully digging up the audio will be possible. Tho the NFL is unlikely to publicly release video of Rudolph dropping a hard-r. No idea how this is going to play out, here's hoping the NFL doesn't find a way to fuck up this investigation. |

Disclaimer: the following post is entirely my SPECULATIONAgreed, that is a little odd. Hopefully the Browns and Garrett wanted this to go through the proper league channels, rather than putting Rudolph on blast during the post-game presser. It does seem strange to me that Rudolph was wholly unapologetic about the whole incident for days.... until yesterday when he decided to issue an apology six days after the fight. The timing is strange on both ends here, but what Myles did was still wack and a very bad public look - so the organization may not have wanted to seem like they were immediately blame shifting before they knew if audio existed? |

Also, you can bet that someone only leaked this detail to the press after finding out that Garrett's suspension didn't get abbreviated or defined. These two pieces of information came out within like an hour of each other.

And sure, you could say the same thing about the stench of a corpse. But if Goodell’s goal was to keep growing the NFL at the expense of just about everything else, it worked. I don’t know a single football fan who quit the NFL this season, and neither do you. We care just as much as we always did. We look the other way as much as we always did.

Honestly it's baffling that so many people are freaking out about Garrett swinging his helmet at this guy when every game features dudes launching themselves helmet first at defenseless players and the refs missing the call altogether. These guys are trained to flip a switch when they get on the field and I'd imagine it's really fucking hard to turn it off.
