With the helmet thing... I mean if you watch the footage of them on the ground, dude was getting punched in the nuts and Mason was either pulling on Garret's helmet or attempting to put him in a headlock. Assault? Okay. Coulda killed someone? A fist might be more lethal. I woulda been all revved up, too. Suspensions are imbalanced, imo.

Really shocking he might be racist. uh huh ok. just because he's liked some tweets? has he actually come out and said anything? look, none of us actually know the guy, but like i've said previously, i'm an oklahoma state fan and have followed him since his freshman year, and he showed to be nothing but a stand-up guy in all those years.

Genuinely curious what about him makes you think he's a great guy.

This is from 2014 after Ray Rice and Bountygate, but I think about it at least once a yearYou never stopped thinking about the NFL in 2014. The league was always kind of lingering. And sure, you could say the same thing about the stench of a corpse. But if Goodell’s goal was to keep growing the NFL at the expense of just about everything else, it worked. I don’t know a single football fan who quit the NFL this season, and neither do you. We care just as much as we always did. We look the other way as much as we always did. This would be right about the time I quit the NFL. Glad to see you in the NFL thread

This whole situation is a fucking mess and will probably never see actual resolution. Yee haw, Go Browns.
Just gotta say - I’ve been actively replacing my former emotional investment in football into the NBA and it’s been waaaay more fun. Now, if 15 years of Browns fandom hasn’t killed my interest in the NFL yet, then probably nothing ever wholly will. But I certainly care less than I ever have since I was a young kid.

Genuinely curious what about him makes you think he's a great guy. all i can talk about is how he carried himself in public during his college career - tough, unselfish guy. played all 4 years, no scandals, teammates talked about how they enjoyed playing with him, coaches raved about his work ethic, etc.

I'll just say that social media has ruined my perception of people that I otherwise thought were okay or good people. I remember players at Kentucky that i genuinely loved and encountered in class then found out later they were very awful people. Hi, Patrick Sparks! I'm just saying that it's not really a convincing argument that he's a good guy because he was great around a college campus. Folks can be douchebags on the sly.

Not that I follow the Panthers but not all of their dysfunction seems like his fault? Also aren't they still technically in the playoff hunt?

Technically yes, but let's be real, their chances are very slim.

Jones is actually injured - he's walking around in a boot. Just incredible that Eli may finish out the season now.

Bears look like a different team tonight. Mitch is certainly at his best when he's running the ball, they've got to do that more often with him.

It’d be pretty good if this got Jerruh to fire Jason Garrett

Garrett won't be fired in season, but Mitch may have just saved everyone's jobs.

There was no chance that Nagy lost his job this season.

There was no chance that Nagy lost his job this season. But the chucklefucks calling into 670 the score say he’s bad!

Won coach of the year last year, there was an anticipated comedown and it's the Bears.
See my posts throughout this thread: he's been awful. Still not a chance he'd lose his job.
