Also he was a Pro Bowl replacement last year.
Edit: You know who I'm talking about.

The conversation came after Brown posted a letter from Mayock informing him of fines for missing practice time on social media and PFT has learned, via a league source, that Mayock told Brown that the team preferred to keep such matters private. Brown then began hurling insults at Mayock that included calling him a “cracker.”

I think it was an awful trade since they didn’t need to trade up to draft him, but didn’t he improve significantly last year ? He made the Pro Bowl. He might be like the 26th best QB in football

Take away that one anomaly against the Bucs last year and he was not good.

I also think that's the most ideal way to use him - short passes designed to use their RB and WR speed in the open field rather than having him gunning downfield 40 times.

How long until the Pats sign him? I literally just bet $20 with my friend group that he’ll sign with someone other than the Pats

Dude is obviously not well. He's clearly bipolar and manic, and I would guess he's suffering from CTE as well.

I have a very close family who is diagnosed bipolar though, he seems to be exhibiting the symptoms.

Getting lost in all this is how fucked it is that a team can negate that large of a sum of guaranteed money for a disciplinary reason.

There's got to be some sort of recourse for the team, for a player who is acting like that though, right? Gruden tried really hard to make it work, he let so many things go that most coaches wouldn't. I don't think the Raiders should have to pay if the employee isn't living up to their end of the bargain. It's a crappy situation, but AB left them with no choice.

I was watching ESPN this morning and a reporter was saying he acted like a diva in Pittsburgh as well. Skipping practice, making the team wait on him for flights on the team plane. Tomlin just dealt with it. I assume the Raiders knew all about his behavior when they made the deal. Not sure why they thought he would change his behavior in Oakland.

Right - there's a reason why Pittsburgh could only get a 3rd & 5th round pick for one of the best (if not THE best) receivers in all of football. In hindsight that looks like a steal for Pittsburgh.

1 year deal for 15 mil, 9 of that guaranteed. Not sure I'd call that buying low but assuming he and Josh Gordon show up the Pats should win it all again
