John Oliver one I went to once was super smooth and cool fwiw Yeah I feel like it would have gone a lot smoother if it was in an actual studio at a regular taping of the show. I'm sure being on foreign turf added a lot to the prep work for each show. |

Has anyone been to an SNL taping? That seems like it would definitely be the best time. It's pretty damn impossible to get tickets. You can submit your name for a lottery at one point during the year, but there's no control over what weekend you'd get tickets to if you were even selected. I caught some rehearsals while I was on an NBC Studio Tour. That's probably the closest I'll get to seeing a taping. |

I wasn't familiar with the criminals profiled outside of Speck - I honestly figured some of the stories were too fantastical to be real, and now I'm depressed to learn they are 100% true accounts.

Finally got caught up on Peaky Blinders after getting stuck midway through the latest season awhile back. It's pretty good and the character arcs have been interesting to follow.
Started the newest season of Transparent finally and it continues to be one of the finest shows on tv in terms of capturing humanity

I've started watching The Last Man on Earth. It's pretty good, although sometimes Phil's selfishness is overbearing. I hated Kristen Schaal's character in the first few episodes, but she's starting to become more amusing than irritating.

I watched the first season and most of the second but kind of passively stopped watching every Sunday and haven't gone back. I don't think anyone in the cast is incredibly consistent or likeable. I don't dislike the show, but they kept returning to the same wells (Phil Is Selfish being the biggest one) and I lost interest.

I was surprised it was gonna go for a 6th season, especially after that trainwreck of a season this year. With these allegations, it didn't really stand a chance of surviving, as it well shouldn't at this point. With Spacey being as disgusting as he is, I'm not sure I can stomach watching a whole season of him again anyways.
