my thoughts exactly. i just want to emphasize though how absolutely shitty of a show it is now. I thought season 4 was pretty good by holy shit was 5 bad. For multiple reasons, I'm glad its over. |

Has anyone been watching Nathan for You this season? I've only watched a couple episodes so far but it seems like they ramped shit up to a whole new level this season and I love it. i look forward to watching this show so much every week. |

Not finished with the season, so won't venture into the thread, but...
6 episodes in, and I'm a bigger fan of season 2 of Stranger Things so far. Just way more interesting. I initially enjoyed season 1 a lot, mainly because I was watching it while sick with the flu. It doesn't hold up all that well when i don't have a 102 degree temp.

Started Mindhunter tonight, enjoying it so far. BRBR and I are pretty much the only people who watched Looking but it's nice to see Patrick in a new role, though it's not really too much of a departure.
Saw Jill Soloway (Transparent, I Love Dick, Six Feet Under) speak yesterday and she was fucking fantastic. So insightful and just fascinating, esp in light of recent Hollywood events. After hearing more about her process and ethos it's so clear why her projects feel so human and humane (and why so much shit coming out of Hollywood is so cookie cutter, literally 90% white men paying other white men to make movies about what white men see, think and feel).

Looking was great. It's a shame that HBO canceled it. Loved last nights Curb. I think it was the best episode of the season.

Holy fucking what that Nathan for You episode was insane. It was so long and poignant and glorious I feel like his production of Mud 2: Never Clean isn't getting the attention it deserves. I could totally see that being the intended focus of a more traditional NFY ep before the Frances mystery blew up as much as it did. Anyone been watching Lady Dynamite? My gf describes it as 'too much' but I absolutely love every episode. |

I agree this would be a fitting end.
Nathan consistently surprises me with the high-concept eps so I can't claim the well's dry but I feel like 'Finding Frances' almost made explicit that he was running out.
