Into season 4 of The Americans now. We really slow burned the first few seasons because my fiance didn't like watching more than one episode at a time at first, but something clicked during season 3 and we're now doing 2-3 episodes at a time when we sit down for it and I can't wait to watch more

Finished up X-Men 97 the other day. Started out as merely a nice nostalgia trip but it was legit a good show. I wasn't anticipating the level of violence in the later episodes.
Started up Shogun last night. First episode was incredibly well done.

We've been watching Girls 5 Eva. I want it to be funnier. Started this a few weeks ago and kind of felt similar and didn't finish. I love the concept but not sure I love what they did with the concept. Admittedly only watched like 3 episodes though |

I don't think it's really a show for dudes. I mean, I thought GLOW was great... (not by the same people, I know) What bugs me are all the pop culture references/jokes in the scripts. It's just lazy writing. |

I was scrolling through Peacock last night since I couldn't sleep and discovered they have Coupling. I don't know when that happened but I am here for it. It definitely hasn't aged well, but neither have I, so shadayim!

I felt this way about Amanda but regardless I'm bummed that Michelle is gone, I thought she had a decent chance to win. Don't know what she was thinking with the mosaic. I would've done a butter board. |

i finished Manhunt on apple yesterday. the show jumps around way too much with a lot of flashbacks and has plenty of historical inaccuracies. it's 7 episodes, could've easily been 5. it's also a little heavy on trying to draw parallels between what booth wanted to achieve by assassinating lincoln and what some people wanted to achieve january 6. i don't know enough about that history, but in a few scenes it's really hammered into the viewer's head.

Watched all of Baby Reindeer while I was on my flights since I saw people talking about it on Twitter. It was alright but not great. Can't think of other recent shows where the two main characters are completely unlikeable.

the most recent season of Hacks was excellent. there were a few hokey and obvious things, but overall really enjoyed it.

re: top chef i like manny personally, but glad he went home.
danny: seems like an AI chef with a jean ralphio voice, with such buzz phrases as "french laundry" and "when i staged at alinea."
laura: seems talented but there is absolutely nothing about her. we get it, you like middle eastern food.
my faves:
savanna: finally getting confidence due to her hot streak. would love to try her cheddar caesar.
dan: love his midwest self-deprecation, when he's good, he's good, when he's not, he's...real bad. |

Can you guys help me figure out which actor I'm thinking of? I'm doing continuing ed today and the host's voice sounds so much like this actor it's driving me crazy.
- actor is an older white male, probably in his 70s now
- generally a sitcom actor, active 80s through aughts for sure
- light brown hair parted on the side, general resemblance to Maury Povich
- slight New York accent
