I can't stress this enough but you all have to watch the latest season of Love Island USA on Peacock. I guarantee it will make up for the lackluster season of The Bachelorette. I have heard that its great

Anyone here watching Mr. Throwback? I've been seeing previews for it on Peacock and it looks funny. I thought it was fine. A few LOL moments here and there but basically just very average sitcom writing and acting. I do like the guy from Happy Endings.

haven't watched TV with my husband in ages due to olympics, DNC and various travels - what's the good shit out there now? or is all the good stuff coming in the next few weeks with new fall programming? Did you hear FX has a new comedy called English Teacher? Is this actually supposed to be good or terrible and that's why it's everywhere on social media?

I'm through most of season one of Industry, since people were saying it's the next Succession. it's alright, pretty much just British bankers doing drugs and having sex Yeah, this isn't like Succession at all, but I wasn't really expecting it to be based on what I had heard. Just finished the first season and I think it got a little more intriguing towards the end to lead into what I've heard is a better second season. In looking at IMDb to see why certain cast members look familiar, I was surprised to learn that the actress who plays Yasmin was the unknown (to me) name that played Amy Winehouse in that biopic this year, which I didn't see, but seems like really weird casting now after watching her on a season of this show.

Finished Kaos last night. It was a pretty breezy watch, never really got bored. I was worried at first that I would know what happened if I knew some of the myths/characters they were focusing on but they turned a lot of the source material on its head. The whole cast was awesome.
The only thing is it ends on a pretty big cliffhanger/getting things set up for another season, but they haven't announced if there will be one yet. This is surely a very expensive show to make so I'm hoping it does well enough to warrant one.

i haven't watched SNL regularly in years, but my recollection is 2+ weeks in a row didn't produce good episodes. that keaton episode might be rough.

I recently learned a recent season of intervention (from 2021) is on Netflix and for some reason started watching it. of course, it centers around fentanyl, and God it's horrifying.
I stumbled on the show in college and watched it regularly. it went from "wow this is insane" to today, when it just breaks my heart.

Liked the first two eps of English Teacher, but jesus that was the worst audio mixing I have heard in a show in a while (watched on Hulu so probably an app issue)
