I would actually try and be helpful if I'd seen any of the TV show so far. Really need to get on that.

I would actually try and shame everyone for not knowing every author i've read ever if I'd seen any of the TV show so far.

Wouldn't be hard!
I do think they'll learn from the missteps of season 4. I will say, the second watch of it, it definitely felt much stronger than at first blush.

season 4 definitely had it's moments - Tobias and Gob had the best arcs imo. But the format was all wrong.

Getting them all in the same room at the same time for more than a handful of minutes would be a good start. I didn't like the format of season 4, and some of the episodes just dragged (particularly the Lindsay one).

“In talks with Netflix we all felt that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business—and their desperate abuses of power—are really underrepresented on TV these days.”
“I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany?—back to the glorious stream of life.”

Heh. Sure hope the writing for S5 aims a little higher than that.
I agree S4 wasn't great. Rewatching it and knowing how all the pieces came together helped, but I can totally understand the average viewer NOT wanting to rewatch an entire season of television... Having said that, there were moments. Maybe I'm actually a Jason Bateman stan, but the scene in the first ep where he's dryly trying to explain to the Workaholics guys how he was mistakenly voted out of his son's dorm is genuinely hilarious (slash sadly relatable?) to me.

Okay. I was mistakenly voted out of a four-person housing situation, in a pack-first, no-talking-after scenario. Does that clear it up for you?

Nah I think my idea of a perfect Katy Perry song involves a whole bunch of lazy food euphemisms.
She dances like I dance, which is endearing.

SNL never really knew how to use Sasheer Zamata. I hope she goes on to have a pretty good career.

The Good Wife is terrific. Just finished the first season. Bummed I didn't listen to my friends sooner.
Also the "Lemonading" episode of Kimmy Schmidt was damn near perfect.v

I've been really into this season of Kimmy Schmidt. There's an episode mid-season where Maya Rudolph plays Dionne Warwick and it's maybe the funniest thing I've seen all year.

New Season of Master of None today! A solid season, but I can't help but realize that Aziz's acting is by far the weakest link here. That closing shot of Dinner Party was too big of a challenge for him. 1. Thanksgiving 2. Religion 3. New York, I Love You

That closing shot of Dinner Party was too big of a challenge for him. 1. Thanksgiving 2. Religion 3. New York, I Love You He's not the best but Eric Warheim is definitely the worst imo. It's a good show that tries to break new grounds and sometimes it's successful, but the execution is usually poor and as such detracts from the quality.

Guessing none of you are watching Victorian Slum House but it's pretty good. The idea that the poor just needed to work harder probably didn't originate in the Victorian era, but interesting to see how it's persisted.

Veep has been renewed for another season. Pretty happy about that, since this season has been much much better than the last two.

Can't believe it's all over next week. this last episode was something else and I'm still kind of wrapping my head around it
we still have an episode to go but after last night I think I've gathered the point of the show. and I have a thought of where next episode will go, but Iunno they keep blowing me away and subverting my expectations so I'm not even sure
God I'm so in love with this show
