Breakthrough Urban Ministries in Chicago was covered this weekend in The Athletic for their services and All-Star weekend festivities and now I'm obsessed with this court:

Sixers played Simmons with his back hurt and he aggravated it. This team's handling of injuries is ridiculous.

Watching Bulls/Thunder instead of the debate. Gafford had an unfathomably bad opening 3 minutes of the game and already got replaced by Felicio.
Chris Paul and Steven Adams were just picking on him.

Zion is the only player in the NBA shooting at least 58% from the floor while taking 15 or more shots a game. Kid is incredible.

Bleh going to Bulls/Mavs tonight and just seeing that Luka and Porzingis might both sit out. Really hoping that's not the case.

Looks like Lavine might be out too, but Luka is probable.

Looks like Lavine might be out too, but Luka is probable. Lavine was out but Luka played and I heckled him all night and then we won. I had third row seats right behind the mavs through a friend and also talked shit to porzingis all night for not playing it was kind of glorious.

4 Nets tested positive. I for one am glad that the most physically fit young people in the country are apparently getting tested daily.

More people should be angry about the fact that rich people can get tested on a gd whim and other people are being turned away left and right.

So like every NBA player has been exposed and is likely a carrier. Cool. Awesome.

All these guys are getting constantly tested though. Payton (NFL I know) admitted he wasn't really even feeling much more than being tired but still tested positive. I mean - who doesnt feel tired at this point locked up in their house or apt? If they tested everyone in the country the numbers would be astronomical

I'm just thinking of how social and high profile these guys are off the court. They go like visit kids in hospitals and shit on their free time. Not criticizing them in any way... just doing the math again in my head about the covid.

And I think these dudes have reason beyond “feeling tired” to be tested

Well that would be a lot - but how many total NBA players out of the 30×14? And they are probably the most likely group to get it - guys who are constantly in airports. The total us percentage isnt that high, but I think if they tested everyone at the same clip as the NBA guys, it would be way more than 10k cases.
