They probably should have chosen to keep a top ten player instead of a backup center I'm not sure Butler wanted to stay regardless, but I think it came down to Simmons vs. Butler. Even though Jimmy saved them in the playoffs last year, it was clear the two of them didn't fit. I don't blame them for going with their 22-year-old homegrown All Star, but they failed to put the kind of players around him that would elevate the team. The Horford contract is definitely looking rough. |

Crazy. Feel kinda bad for D'Lo that he never got to play on the good version of that team, but seems like he and KAT wanted to team up, and I doubt the pairing with Steph would have worked defensively. Warriors will be interesting next year.

Yeah, why would Cleveland trade for him? Good question...i assume that he still has the $28m opt in now in Cleveland if he wants. That was the main reason the Pistons dumped him for almost nothing. |

thunder didn't make any moves, but talked to various teams about moving some players, but nothing materialized.
so this season's surprising and unexpected run may end up in the playoffs at the end of the season (currently 6th) with a pretty solid team.

Also read a story that Markkanen does not like how the ship is run at all and will leave ASAP. Not sure how much there is to it, but not great to hear.

Marv bought out and signing with the Bucks. I love that for him.
The Hornets are not interested in taking on any assets, hence passing on Drummond. They are in full on tank mode for the first time in perhaps ever. It's beautiful.

Also I think the Bulls can win 35-40 with the roster as currently constructed and would definitely go in for a beer bet if anyone was interested in going lower than that. They definitely need a superstar on this team and that's what pisses me off about the 3 year deals, because this is about as good as they get until those deals expire unless some creative trades are made. feeling good about our bet lmao |
