Yeesh. Any idea what a Yow DJ set is like? I'm just imagining him nakedly yelling at individual crowd members for 45 minutes.

My AirBnb just cancelled on me because coronavirus.
Sooooo if this fest still happens, I will be desperate for a street corner to sleep on.

Well some posters on inforoo who have had inside info in the past have said it might be postponed till October. It makes sense. That rumor has been floating around for a couple of weeks. That is why I think Bonaroo, Lolla, Etc. might all get cancelled. The Taste of Chicago and the Entire 2020 Street Festival Scene is in jeopardy.

How feasible is postponing it? Surely the lineup would be veryyyy (unrecognizably?) different.
I highly doubt it's happening in April though. The liability is just way too high.

Lolla is 5 months out and midway through a Summer which *may* significantly improve conditions (expectation would be the virus comes back in Fall though). I'm 50/50 on Lolla canceling but it just seems too far out to know. Probably same can be said for Roo and Firefly. On a slightly different note I'm very interested in the Indy 500. 300,000+ in the same place (plus the Snake Pit, and all the stuff that happens on Legends and Carb day). Wouldn't be shocked if they ran it in an empty stadium...that would be weirddddd.

If I had to guess they'll announce it this week. Congratulations to everyone who has buyers remorse when they bought tickets.

If you're just looking to change the dates (assuming they postpone and it's not outright cancelled) you can always ask for mercy on any change fees that would apply. All of the airlines are being pretty lenient right now in that regard. If you need to cancel altogether, your credit card may provide some sort of coverage.

The BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament, set to begin this week, has been called off after a case of the new coronavirus was confirmed in the Coachella Valley in Southern California.
This is definitely getting moved around and/or cancelled

Rumors that there will be announcement canning Coachella and Stage Coach later today (specifically at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET).
I booked free-cancellation hotels for a few weekends in mid/late October, just in case they do wind up pushing. I'm guessing an outright end to any attempts at holding the festival in 2020 is more likely though.

No one has any idea how bad this could get, so selling tickets for a festival six months out seems a bit risky.

So was I, but rumor is PJ is announcing the fall leg of their North American tour in a few weeks so they probably wanted to give those fests a head start on ticket sales. That's a fairly unique scenario.

I feel like a lot of Pearl Jam's fanbase would risk highly infectious illnesses just for the chance at getting limited edition posters

On the contrary, if this is managed by September and you weren't selling tickets the entire time it wasn't managed, now as a promoter you've lost a ton of potential revenue. Let the people decide if they want to risk buying the tix, and hope that your insurance covers the cancellation if its necessary.
