MPJ certainly wants to play here. I’m not opposed to it. Would much rather have a MOBAMBA down low though. Our defense is gonna be softer than Roseanne’s son with Porter.

tbh I haven't paid too much attention lately. I think I would be happy with any of Porter, Bridges, or even Lonnie Walker or Collin Sexton. Preferably either of the first two, though.

Odds seem to be that MPJ and the good Bridges will both be there.

I wouldn't trade up, though.

That's the part that worries me for sure.

Bamba and Jackson both seem like good centers to pair with Lauri. I'd be willing to trade up to get either of those two or Doncic.
I'm just getting really scared they could take Trae Young as I keep reading about the front office souring on Dunn.

KC reported via the Chicago Tribune that the Bulls are most interested in (in no particular order) Mo Bamba, Mikal Bridges, Trae Young, Wendell Carter Jr and Michael Porter Jr. He also reported the obvious: Porter is completely dependent on how his medical looks.
They really like Bamba (as a ton of teams do) and would need to trade up to get him. He will not last past Dallas. I see it going:
1. Ayton 2. Bagley III 3. Bamba 4. Doncic 5. Jackson 6. Young 7. Porter 8. Carter Jr (likely traded)

I will quit the Bulls if they take Young.

I will quit the Bulls if they take Young. They badly need shooting which is why they're looking at who they are. Bamba, believe or not, has shooting potential. Add that with a 7'10 wingspan and that has scouts salivating.

I would like the Bulls to draft a good player(s) and avoid drafting a bad player(s)

Personally? I wouldn't. Next year's draft looks weak and they need tons of help.

I would love it if the Bulls could trade #7 and #22 to the Clippers for the #12 and #13.
Nobody I really love in the 5-10 range, but it would be cool to get a pair of guys like Miles Bridges and Kevin Knox, or even both Bridges.

Relatively safe assumption that the top 5 will be in some order:
Ayton Bagley Jackson Doncic Bamba
If they don’t want to take Young or MPJ they should absolutely trade down. The rest of the guys are relatively interchangeable, Carter and Mikal Bridges are the ones mostly frequently thrown out and neither are going to be #1 options on a championship contending team.

I love when they make note of a player's preferred destination when the player in question doesn't even have a no-trade clause. The Spurs have no obligation to Kawhi to send him to a team of his choice. They're just going to take the best deal.
That said, I'd bet that he ends up somewhere like Sacramento or Orlando. The Spurs are going to want a combination of a high lottery pick and young assets who can step in and play right now. Sacramento can offer the #2 pick (presumably Doncic, who at worst can be the new Ginobli for San Antonio) and have a bunch of young assets the Spurs could choose from with Fox, Hield, Mason, Bogdanovich, Cauley-Stein and even Harry Giles, along with a bunch of easily tradable expiring contracts to make the money work (Koufos, Shumpert, Temple).
It would be tough for the Lakers to get a deal done given their 2018 draft pick is #25 and their 2019 pick would presumably be outside the lottery if they're able to land Kawhi and at least one other free agent (PG, Lebron?).

I know Paul George has been attached to LAL for years now, but wouldn't it make more sense to join up with Harden and Paul (assuming he re-signs)? LeBron should sign there too so when they line up in a row their backs would read James Harden Paul George
edit: or if the NBA put first names on jerseys they could line up and make it LeBron James Chris Paul

He can influence who gives the best deal by indicating to certain teams that he wouldn't re-sign with them.

Yeah Sacramento is not giving up the #2 pick and young players for one year of Kawhi

He can influence who gives the best deal by indicating to certain teams that he wouldn't re-sign with them. Recent superstar trades would indicate that doesn't make a difference. OKC was certainly not Paul George's first choice, but that's where he was sent because OKC offered Indiana the best trade. Boston was not on Kyrie's original list of trade destinations (San Antonio, New York, Minnesota, Miami), but they offered the most assets so that's where he was sent. And conversely, if you wanted to go to a certain team, wouldn't it be to your benefit NOT to create a scenario where that team has to gut their entire roster by offering the "best deal." Basically, this is recreating the Melo to NY scenario, where the Knicks had to gut their entire roster in order to get him because Nuggets knew of the mutual interest.

Yes, OKC offered the best trade. We also have no idea who would have offered the best trade had PG not telegraphed his desire to go to the Lakers. I'm not saying Kawhi will dictate where he goes, but that his desires will factor into what gets offered - especially when it comes to lottery teams who would have to give up high picks to get him. So it's not totally irrelevant to bring it up.

Mo Bamba is apparently refusing to work out for Memphis because he doesn't want to be a Grizzly. I'd be absolutely ecstatic if he somehow fell to the Bulls, but I get the feeling he'll be going to Dallas at #5. He's basically the perfect Tyson Chandler replacement they've been looking for ever since he left.
Also reading a lot of interesting rumors about Toronto trying to shake things up. They're supposedly in love with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, to the point that they'd be willing to move Kyle Lowry if it meant they could move into the lottery to get him.
I'm pretty stoked for Thursday night. Should be super fun.

i haven't been excited about the draft for a while since okc hasn't really been in it for a while now, but i remember 08 drafting russell westbrook at #4 and couldn't quite figure out what they were getting, and then 09 when they drafted #3 with james harden and i thought they should've taken ricky rubio there since i didn't think westbrook wasn't going to work out as a point guard. haha. what did i know?

That's ok. They'll have another shot at the lottery next year.
