In all seriousness, barring the unforeseen (like PG returning), they're probably going to be one of the bottom 5 teams in the West next year, right?

Westbrook instantly gets them in the playoffs.
Edit: because he already has done that before.

Westbrook instantly gets them in the playoffs. Edit: because he already has done that before. I don't see that happening. That 2016-17 team still had Oladipo, Sabonis, Kanter a healthy Roberson and (later) Gibson. That's not exactly a finals-caliber roster, but those are all useful players and a hell of a lot more help than Russ is going to get in 2018-19. Plus, Russ was two years younger and I think that actually matters here.

no way. they’ll still have steven adams and andre roberson will be back with his defense. westbrook will do whatever it takes to carry his team.

I'd be willing to make a beer bet that OKC is not a playoff team next year.
Are beer bets still a thing here? You know, since most of us don't really go to festivals anymore.
EDIT: Also, don't underestimate Roberson's knee injury. A patellar tendon is worse than an ACL, and probably the second most difficult injury to return from behind a torn Achilles. I'd be shocked if he's 80% of what he was before the injury.

i know its gonna bite me in the butt but I really hope Michael Porter Jr. gets drafted before 7 I’m kinda thinking the opposite. There’s obviously a lot of reasons to not pick him: He has the back issues, a pretty sizable ego, and doesn’t really fit with Lavine at all. But they are probably not going to be picking this high again, and I think you have to take this opportunity to go for someone who can be a star rather than just a very good player.

I am getting super excited at the possibility of Bagley somehow falling to 7

Plenty of smokescreens at the moment, but the most common thought is Bagley’s going 2nd.

Can't wait for the Bulls to select Trae Young way too high.

Can't wait for the Bulls to select Trae Young way too high. My fear is that they think the Magic are going to take him and they trade #7 and #22 to the Mavs for #5

I honestly think his career would've played out 400% differently if he didn't put on that cape at the dunk contest but its basically the only funny thing happening in the world right now so its good

Boy if the Hawks snag Doncic 3rd, isn't that a worst case scenario for the Bulls? It would then likely go:
3. Doncic 4. Porter Jr 5. Bamba 6. Young 7. Bulls pick. Jaren "Tyrus Thomas" Jackson or Wendell Carter Jr. Yuck.
versus what I thought was going to happen:
3. Jackson 4. Doncic 5. Bamba 6. Young 7. Porter

Jaren Jackson falling to #7 would be a miracle. Dude will have a 15 year career.

100% bulls will draft Porter Jr. and than in the first practice he will be split in half in some sort of scary movie esque 4 incident
