Looks like they won’t have the cap space for Boogie since they also resigned KCP to a 1 year deal for /12 million

I feel like if Aaron Gordon just got 4/84, then LaVine really is about to get paid.
I like Gordon just fine, but he's been an alright player on absolutely atrocious teams for four years.

I'm surprised LeBron would go to LA over Philly, especially with how competitive the West already is, but maybe that's in deference to Cleveland. The East is an absolute mess. The eight seed could legitimately be 10 games under 500.

I'm also looking forward to the Spurs absolutely fleecing the Lakers when that Kawhi deal eventually happens.

Picks, Ingram and probably Kuzma or Randle - that'd be my guess.

The Pacers took Cleveland right to the brink in the first round of the playoffs, and honestly probably should have won the series save for a few bad decisions. If they can make a bit of noise in Free Agency and if Oladipo continues his form, I don't see why they can't be the best team in the East. Would obviously get smashed against GSW or Houston in the Finals though.

What if out of left field Kawhi signed with Milwaukee next off season? Giannis and him would be right there with Boston, right?

Keep that headache in LA, thank you. Never said anything about Lonzo. But if the Spurs trade Kawhi to the Lakers and don't get back Ingram or Lonzo, that is an absolute disaster. Kuzma is a stretch 4 with terrible defense. Guys like those are a dime a dozen. Randle is fine, but it's not like the Spurs are salivating over the idea of paying him 20 mil a year to replace Kawhi.

This move liberates the EC. It is wide open now. It's not just Boston and Philly. The Pacers, Wizards, Bucks... Errbody is gonna be gunning for playoff position without the persistent threat of LeBron derailing everything. Shit, the Hornets have lost to LeBron like 26 times in a row. This is fucking huge for eastern teams. Much excite.

I'm not trying to be a dick and am honestly asking because I don't know: why do people keep bringing up Julius Randle in trades? He's an RFA so wouldn't the Lakers have to sign/trade before moving him?
That I think would also mean a) Randle would have to accept the offer which means b) it won't be a cheap deal.
I've read that there are quite a few teams who will be kicking the tires on Randle so for him to accept some cheap deal to get the Lakers Leonard seems unlikely at best.

He's an RFA so wouldn't the Lakers have to sign/trade before moving him? Yeah it would be a sign and trade. I think it's pretty unlikely this happens; I bet he either signs a 1-year deal with the Lakers in order to be unrestricted next year or he signs a big offer sheet somewhere else.

Honestly, why? Fred Hoiberg coaching Lonzo sounds like a terrific idea that in no way would backfire in a highly entertaining fashion.

Oooh... Rondo signing with LA? Hornets are interested in signing Tyreke Evans. I would be down for that.
