I'm supposed to go on a first Tinder date tomorrow night and I'm dreading the thought of texting her that I'm going to have to reschedule because it's supposed to snow a shit ton... My wife and I had our second date during a brutal snowstorm in 2014. We were both late and a mess, it makes for a great story later so try to make it happen if possible. |

Were interviewing kids for full tuition today and tomorrow. So no snow day for me, and a good to fair chance the west coasters are seeing snow for the first time tonight and tomorrow

I hope they are planning for a looooooooooong drive. The north portion of Indiana is going to get hit hard too They're leaving here around noon to make it for a show that evening. I really hope they can beat the worst of it. I'm leaving NWI for Indy around 4 to try to beat this thing. |

I remember working in the suburbs and trying to get back to the city during a snowstorm like this. It took me 3 and a half hours to get 20 miles. I quit the following week.

Yeah, I'm one of a handful as well. It wasn't too terrible coming in, though. They announced that somebody got sick on the red line, which I'm sure fucked everything up.

Super easy getting in today... but of course I left my keys in my condo. Going to have to make a detour on my way home to get my extras from a friend, hoping all this weather leaves before the afternoon.

Was super easy to get in - downtown is pretty empty right now. I was listening to last year's Grizzly Bear album on my walk from the train and it was v soothing and scenic

They're calling for 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow night, so I'm probably not going to be going to Jens Lekman in St. Louis (where they're expecting rain at 25 degrees, which is not rain). Sucks, because this is the first time he's come to Missouri in...ever? It's a 4-hour round trip to STL.
Oh well, I haven't gone back to his last album very much.

I missed his Champaign show this week because I didn’t feel like driving there in what turned out to be decent snowfall. Kind of a bummer but there’s not much you can do

My parents are delayed, but it sounds like they'll get out of O'Hare this afternoon. I keep trying to get them to go to Publican, but they won't leave Goose Island.

It stopped downtown like an hour ago. I am really impressed with how well they keep the sidewalks shoveled in the loop.

in okc it was 68 at 6am then dropped to 36 at 7am with rain thunder lightning and hail, now it's 32 and rain/freezing rain. ugh.
