Hey it's sunny and mostly warm (minus the wind) just 30 miles away in beautiful Lake County, IN!

aren't you the dude who moved from sunny, warm, Florida to ice station zebra in Chicago? my ice scraper was in the trunk this morning, and the trunk lock was too frozen to open the trunk, so I cleaned off the rear windshield with my bare hands, before going to the gym prior to 6:00 a.m.

aren't you the dude who moved from sunny, warm, Florida to ice station zebra in Chicago? Yeah, highly questionable. But obviously Chicago is infinitely better than Orlando taking weather out of the picture. I just know I couldn't go back up there to live after being here in Houston for 3 years. It's not perfect here but I'd take hot as hell and humid days in the summer where I just hop in the pool over frigid and wet April snow any day.

Hey I can bitch when it’s 15 degrees below the average high or whatever for this time of year! It didn’t take too long for me to get use to colder weather and I couldn’t imagine ever living in the southeast again.

sorry, cg, since you used to live in florida and chose to move to a colder climate you are apparently never allowed to comment about a bad weather day.

Snow in April there happens every year almost so get used to it.

Overall the weather is better here anyway. It’s disgustingly hot in Orlando for at least six months out of the year. I’ll trade days like this for being able to actually be outside in the summer and fall.

Yeah the southeast suuuuuuuucks in the summer. It's made all the worse going back now that I'm used to practically zero humidity in Denver.

When I first moved out to Denver I had no idea how mild it was during the winter months. It's not the primary reason why I'd probably never move back to Chicago or Kentucky at this point, but it definitely makes it an easier choice. It's been 70 plus on Thanksgiving and Christmas more often than not since we moved.

I think it helps that I've lived in an apartment complex with a resort-style pool downstairs.
I enjoy the heat till July then I start to get tired of it but it's only truly annoying when it last into October. It still looks pretty and bright outside from my apartment, unlike dreary Midwestern winters.
