A couple of friends and I are considering blowing some of our saved up 2020 concert budget on Deluxe passes, mostly on account of the front stage viewing areas and the open bar. Has anyone done that before and would you recommend it? It sounds like a pretty great value compared to other fests, though I understand cheap/free GA tickets are often available if you wait until just before the festival (this would be our first Riot Fest). if you want to wait and decide later on the 2020 pass, my friend and I just bought regular passes and then will decide in 2021. Per their FAQ you can buy an upgraded ticket and email them with the receipts and they'll refund you for the regular pass. Good call, went ahead and did GA for now. I assume that Deluxe price will be pretty static until much closer to the Fest, so gives us some cushion in case schedules change or bands drop. |

Yeah, just got ours too.. Sprung for regular VIP again.. Seemed worth it for the free drinks and express entrance / exit

The way I looked at it after my first RF was "Deluxe" gives you the amenities you would expect from "VIP" at most festivals, "VIP" gives you the amenities that you would expect from a general-admission ticket, and general admission just gets you in the gate. |

what amenities do yo expect from a general-admission ticket besides getting in the gate? • Festival Admission (09.17 - 09.19) • 5 Beverage Tickets • Re-entry privileges • Private Lockers for purchase in VIP area • Unlimited Access to VIP Lounge - VIP Gate Entry - Private VIP Bar - Private VIP Restrooms admission, re-entry, ability to rent a locker, and ability to purchase nice drinks seems like typical GA benefits. vip lounge, vip bathroom and vip entry are the only things that seem like real vip benefits. i guess 5 drink tickets as well (if i remember right, nice beers are like 10 bucks at riot fest so a decent chunk of change). |
