Ooh - I might have to get the muffaletta today. #Friday Update - it is quite good but oh so massive. I do wish the giardiniera was spicier though.

Ooh - I might have to get the muffaletta today. #Friday Yeah I was already looking at getting an Italian for dinner and this confirms it. idk if muffaletta even exists in the south outside of nola. But I found an independent sub shop with a "spicy italian" that will hopefully suffice. Usually I just go to harris teeter which is a carolina (maybe more idk) grocery chain that makes bomb subs but I'm going to branch out. Only open 10 to 3 God damnit

I still have the work Thanksgiving ham in my freezer. I've lately been making omelettes instead of casseroles and am definitely going to be whipping up some Denver Omelettes within the next few weeks.

i'm trying taylor ham from a jersey friend this weekend....anyone ever had it? I love it. I'll use it as a sandwich meat. I'll use it as a breakfast meat as a side. I'll chop it up and put in eggs. Can be tough to find around here so I don't get it very often though.

i'm trying taylor ham from a jersey friend this weekend....anyone ever had it? Yeah, it's great. When my sister lived in Connecticut, there was a store near her that carried it, so I'd get it a lot. It's basically like SPAM. It's good, though. I want to try a Taylor ham pizza.

does anyone do ham for thanksgiving?
we have a poll up on our whiteboard at work about favorite thanksgiving sides, and someone put "gravy (for ham)"
i just can't really figure out eating ham on thanksgiving instead of turkey but apparently 5 years ago (per the above) i had ham on friendsgiving and didn't complain

Had it for the first time at a thanksgiving buffet in Florida and than we made ham instead of Turkey for the next two thanksgivings because it was so good (have not since as that was in the two family thanksgiving era)

we have traditionally always done ham on christmas so "ham as a holiday meal" is very familiar to me, i think i just so closely associate thanksgiving with turkey that it surprised me!
ham is so good though

I’ve done a thanksgiving ham before but I think turkey is mostly just OK. My sister is gonna be at my house for thanksgiving this year and she doesn’t care much for ham so it’s gonna be a chicken year

as an adult Id rather have turkey than ham because I can eat whatever and Id rather have the novelty of turkey also as an adult I know how to season and cook turkey better than my parents
but as a kid having actually delicious meat was more important so I see the ham argument easy

leftover ham is way better than leftover turkey too I was so infuriated by thanksgiving chicken that I missed this and actually disagree. Leftover turkey is the best part of thanksgiving. Leftover sandiwches for days. Traveling for Thanksgiving this year so not gonna be able to have any leftovers and am already sad
