Let's see
1. Had a baby (well, my wife had the baby, I helped) 2. Changed jobs for the better 3. Paid off a tremendous amount of debt with my severance 4. Welcomed a new puppy to the already crowded house 5. This month marks 2 years of no tobacco

1. Got a promotion and moved which was immeasurably good for my mental health 2. Made a friend group in new city 3. Started going to therapy (but have stopped and if I do go back it will be with a different office) 4. Lost like 30 pounds 5. Paid off all my credit card debt
Yeah, a very good year. Goals for next year are be more fiscally responsible, spend more time being social and making friends, and to most importantly keep this upward trend I am on. 2018 was the first year in a long time that was worse than the year before it, happy to say that it was an anomaly.

You forgot the real #1, "accidentally and randomly ran into Pulp on the streets of Tribeca." ftfy i don't think either of us have posted about that but for the rest of y'all when I was in NYC in September walking around with a friend I hear some rando scream my name, look up, and it's fucking pulp walking back from grabbing lunch. small world.

Big things for me were
1. Getting a promotion at work, felt nice being recognized. 2. Got a lot of business with my photography side gig. 3. Got a lot better at interactions with clients. 4. Moved in with the girlfriend and it has been going very well. 5. Mental and physical health has been great. I'm slowly fixing my gut problems that have caused hell on my life for the past 2-3 years.
2019 was a good year overall besides losing some family members.

1. I got a job after a long and very shitty search that frequently made me feel like dying 2. Moved to a city that I absolutely love that fits both me and my interests much better than where I was before 3. Moved into a nice apartment with great neighbors and a good community 4. Went on an incredible trip with my wife’s family to Africa. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity that I still can’t really process that I had 5. Officiated a wedding for the first time and agreed to do another next year 6. Managed to do pretty well living by myself for 5 months but was very happy when I realized I don’t have to do that again 7. Spent a good amount of time with you lovely people and made some nice memories.
It was a good one. I say this every year but maybe we can chill with the life changes for a second because good god. Could have done without moving during a blizzard, my wife’s gallbladder exploding, and a few other mid range traumatic events, but we made it through and I’m very thankful for that.

honestly 2019 was really rough for me and im having a hard time compiling of list of much of anything good that happened to me on the professional/fiscal/physical/familial/personal achievement front. i think the two big ones for me were finally seeing a therapist and talking to her weekly, which has helped a ton. and then of course all of last week, which was just nonstop surprises with wonderful people

Lots of garbage in 2019, especially last month, but there were some good things.
1. Helped plan an awesome family trip to Italy to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, which included an anniversary mass at the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. 2. As part of that trip, I got a great tattoo from a great guy in Rome who I vowed I would try to get in with if I ever went back to visit the city. That was a big personal goal of mine. 3. Two years of teaching AP Seminar, and two years of 100% of my students earning passing scores (scores went up for my group this year, too). And now the course has doubled in enrollment. 4. 94% of my AP English Language & Comp students earned passing scores, which was department leading. 5. Managed to save enough to have a strike fund that more than covered the amount of days that we were on strike this year. Last time we went on strike, I didn't have a strike fund.

We recently went to that Irish bar where the guy walked in and started screaming at the bartender out of nowhere but it wasn’t the same.

Deleted my other post - I'll try to be positive!
1. Welcomed a new member to the family, and he's healthy! 2. Drove out to KC on a whim and went to a Sweet 16 game, which was fun as hell 3. Roadtrip around the Midwest was fun 4. First front row experience at Red Rocks
Otherwise, yeah, this has been a garbage year. I'm trying to refocus mentally with the help of a therapist, but it's been tough. I'm looking forward to 2020 right now but trying to close out 2019 on a high note. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee

1. Celebrated a year with my kind, supportive, lovely boyfriend 2. Visited several places I'd never been (and ticked off a fourth continent) including Maine, Australia and Pittsburgh 3. Mostly liked my job even when it stressed me out, and added a bunch of great people to an already strong, cohesive and happy team 4. Saw a bunch of great shows including a few favorites from uncomfortably up close: Kacey Musgraves, CRJ, and David Byrne 5. Got bangs

Wait. I know. Beyonce Homecoming will count on lists this year.

1. Got my life back after successfully negotiating, getting helped by two DGs, a way out of an horrible work environment (before losing both my health and my mind), to work now with a wonderful team that covers some really great files but also and most importantly, where everyone from the big boss to the employees I manage truly value people and work-life balance. 2. Celebrated 6 years with the boyfriend 3. Crossed the 70-country mark in February, while treating my Mom to her very first cruise, and then booked a second one for February 2020 after seeing how much she (and well, also I) enjoyed it. 4. Finally got to travel to the heart of the Silk Road, Uzbekistan, a place that had been on my bucket list ever since I was 15. And on the way back, discovered a very cool and lively city (Baku, Azerbaijan)

And on the way back, discovered a very cool and lively city (Baku, Azerbaijan) One of my friends is from Baku and he said that he grew up fairly poor, eating caviar on toast most mornings for breakfast. His family was amazed when they came to the U.S. and saw how much it cost.
