We're talking Christmas presents. Or whatever other holidays are out there, I don't know, I'm an atheist.

I'm above $500. It's mostly because I'm at a time in my life where I can give back and give semi nice gifts. Plus my company has a MTO program that I use as a Christmas fund every year.
I buy gifts for 6 people + white elephant + work stuff. I feel like it's not that hard to be over $500?

This is a weird thread. Regardless, I will be buying for 7 family members and two friends, I expect to spend ~$500.

Depends on what I find that speaks to me for the people I care about. I've got about 20 people I buy gifts for currently.

For the record a lot of people in my life are either dead or cheated on me so I'm down to buying for like ~8 people. I'd probably spend more but between having to replace most of my bedroom unexpectedly over the past month and not even knowing who I'm spending Christmas with I'm down to like $250 on a good day.
I am playing Santa for my cousnin's kids this year which as we all know is priceless.

I'm above $500 - two kids, wife, family, friends. It adds up.

Ok, I think I'm in the $200-300 range then. I'm not counting gifts for my employees in that.

This year I have six adults and a baby to gift to, and possibly one more adult. I try to keep my gifts sub $50 per adult and the baby will get $100 to her 529 account. I'll be in that $300-400 range this year most likely.

My siblings and I have been exchanging names for decades so that we don't have to spend a ton of time and money buying presents for everyone else, so just $200-300.

My family doesn't celebrate any holidays that customarily require giving presents, so zero. Unless you count whatever I'm going to spend on Chinese food from China Chef?

Even tho you're OP, I think it's pretty clear I'm responding to the concept of the thread in general, my friend.

the baby will get $100 to her 529 account. This is a good idea we might have to do this the next go around. We tend to ball out on Christmas. Spent the weekend making all kinds of Christmas treats for family, and we do gifts outside of that as well. E starts planning it out in September. I made the major decisions for my side of the family this year. We’re both very fortunate to have the jobs that we do and we like to pass a bit of that around when we can. I’m most excited to give my dad his gift. When we were kids we’d listen to Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” because my dad had a CD of it and my sister and I thought it was the greatest thing. The Milwaukee symphony orchestra is performing it next month and my employer is a corporate partner with them so we got 4th row seats for the cost of the back row. Super excited to take him to that. I still do not know what to get for my wife.

I did most of my shopping in Mexico City this year. So I probably won't hit $500 (for the first time in a long long while) but I still haven't shopped for the girlfriend yet...
...maybe I should log off and get on that

She's only 1 right now, I feel like this won't work once she's more sentient and actually understands what presents are. At that point I'm sure the toys will be rolling out in force rather than the responsible college savings. Right now all she wants is to rip open wrapping paper TBH.

Yeah our nephew is 3 so it might be a little late on that front
