I went to Stankonia last night and it made me feel bad about my island although it looks like there have been some more hours put in to Stankonia than I've spent.
We gave each other gifts it was nice.

So I finally started playing this. Played for about an hour, got my tent set up, went through the festivities, slept and woke up and wandered around looking for Tom Nook for a while to no avail. It wouldn't let me save, so I just closed software from the main menu and now it is making me start all over....is this normal?

It wouldn't let me save, so I just closed software from the main menu and now it is making me start all over....is this normal? You need to make sure you press the “-“ button at some point, and it will then ask if you want to save. Also Tom should be in a tent in the middle of your island |

Once you get through the orientation and it tells you how to save. Then, you don't have to start over. |

Thanks. I do press the "-" button but it tells me I can't save. Everything I've read said once I wake up from my first night's sleep I should be able to save but it won't let me. My island mates keep telling me to go to Resident Services to find Tom Nook for a DIY session but he's not there. Or anywhere. It's really weird.
EDIT: Welp went through the whole thing again and this time it let me save after I slept. Not sure why it didn't allow it the first time.

I still hadn't been able to figure out this god damn turnip thing. I ran all over the island on Sunday trying to figure it out, where the hell is this woman?
Then I finally just googled it last night and she's only there from 5am-noon?!? I pretty much never will be playing during those hours and it's bullshit.

Yeah that happened to me last weekend. I could have gotten on in the morning but figured I had all day. I did not have all day
I don't understand why she isn't just there all day. You can't sell turnips till the next day anyway
