I would prefer the Hornets stand pat, but if they can get a decent SG for Terry, it's worth a look. Rozier is actually pretty good. Will be unfortunate if Ball don't balls.

Hmm... it's not too ridiculous. Harden got offered like $50 mil and first rounders get several million. Batum and Zeller come off the books after this season (if they're not already in the process of offloading them). They have the space to pay a few players and the rest of the roster is young/trade bait. That injury, though. He was fine this last year! Ah, the befuddlement of being a Hornets fan. Probably a second Batum.

I'm trying not to get too excited, but they're either not done yet on the market, or they're just making this move smarter and will have even more money next year. I'm pretty confident they're seeking a big upgrade at C/PF. Only a few of those left, last I checked.

So, they completed the sign and trade. Hayward's deal doesn't change, we get '23 and '24 second round picks and Boston gets our protected 2nd round pick for '22. I think they coulda made Danny Ainge eat shit, but instead, Boston gets a $28.5 million exception.

It's a pretty good deal. I like how people are like zomg they're overpaying him when Boston and Indiana were gonna pay him more. If he pulls a Batum, it will suck. If he still wants to play, his usage is going to go up, and it's fairly likely just his addition alone will put the Hornets in the playoffs. They were one game out last season (maybe two).

They reeeeaaallly need to throw the bank at a big time C/PF, but they let all the big ones go. Fucking Whiteside is from Gastonia (25 min drive from me). Something like that would be a pretty stout team in the east.

Anyway, I'm excited for this season to start.
